Okay, oh my god, oh that is going down to zero ohms. Let's see this does not look good, alex welcome back to legit street cars and welcome to another jeep video in this one, we're going to be fixing a little bit of a lot of things on my 98 5.9 liter jeep grand cherokee limited. So this is going to be another one of my from start to finish. Jobbers, where you guys get to see me fix everything in one video, so we're going to be doing some mechanical work.

Some electrical work, some paint body work, some exhaust work, some interior repair works, material, detail, work, exterior detail, work, ceramic coating, we're probably going to find all sorts of other things to fix on this as well. So you know the deal grab yourself, that cold pop cold beer, water, coffee, some food, whatever you got and enjoy the show all right. First things. First, we have to take off the front right wheel because i took this to get some gardening supplies a few days ago and there was a lot of smoke coming out of here and it smelled like brake pads.

So i think after sitting for so long uh the pads are frozen and we can't drive it like that. So, let's see what we got. The pads have a ton of life left, so there's a good chance. The caliper is stuck, and maybe just maybe we can fix this for free, which budget is definitely going to be the theme of this video all right here we go, don't break on me.

Oh it's! Turning right away. Oh it's not bad at all. Oh, this caliper is frozen. This thing is on there.

Oh all right. It's coming off sweet, not too bad. Oh, these are definitely frozen. Solid.

The sliders are sliders, no more they're, they're stuckers, all right. So here's what we have going on here. One of these is actually not frozen. This is what it should look like moves back real nice and easy.

This one does not move back at all, so you want to take the path of least resistance, all right so before we start getting the heat out and hammers and start getting violent and angry, we are just going to take some vice grips here, clamp them on. Don't ruin the the rubber and we're just going to start breaking this guy free now this is this is really easy. Actually, i thought this was going to be much worse, so this kind of makes me think that the caliper itself is frozen, because this thing was just smoking. Yeah we've already broken this free.

What we're going to do now is i'm just going to gently push down on the brake. We don't want to pop this out. That would be bad, so i'm just going to gently put some pressure on this see if it even moves, we'll kind of go from there, i'm in the jeep right now, i'm going to hit the brakes not a lot, because we don't want to pop out that Piston, let me try it a little bit more. This thing is not moving at all.

I push the brake down quite a bit. I think it's frozen. I'm gon na try and push this back in man. This thing was frozen solid a couple days ago, and i don't know if you guys remember in the first video this car had a pull as well.
It can definitely be a sticking break whether it's the caliper, the slider, it could also be a hose. That's collapsed. All right, yeah go ahead. Real slow, keep on going see, it's moving, keep on going.

Okay, try now go back up and and press it again. Slow like you did yep keep going good, good good. All right! Stop! That's good wow yeah! It's definitely working. I think we just freed this up all right, so we push that back in go ahead and push out again yep.

Oh, it's working nice go again: okay, okay, all right cool, yep yep! You can come off now, all right! I, like it cool possible free jeep, fix number one lots of different products for this. I i've had good luck with this, so far threw about half the bottle. So i don't know, maybe like two years of use, something like that grease it up real nice and then just simply slide it back in all right pin number two: there you go. Okay, we are good to go.

Both are sliding i'll do the other side as well before. When i slammed on him. The whole car would pull. Let's see here, we go yeah we're good.

We are going to be good uh-oh pedal, going all the way, all the way to the ground brake light on no pedal's going to the ground brake light means our fluid level has gone down. Oh i'm, so glad i'm only a block away. Stuff happens people. This is the real world.

No it's in the back, oh my driveway. We fixed the one caliper and now a line probably blew up all right. I told you we're gon na have to do more things than i originally thought in the beginning of the video. So, let's uh - let's figure this out, but before we do and because you guys probably think my jeep is a total pile right now with its leaking brake line, big rusted dent in the hatch, cracked, up, bumpers and much much more.

Let me show you a little sneak peek. This is the jeep's paint after a ceramic coating with this stuff, the armor shield, 9 from avalon king, you guys will see me apply the coating at the end, but i want to make sure you know about the memorial day weekend, sale because it's a ridiculous. Bargain kind of, like the fix, you're going to see with this brake leak. Now you can always save 25 on the complete diy kit by using coupon code legit 25 at checkout.

But right now you can save about 35 and get a free, prep shampoo and get a free maintenance. Shampoo and the more you buy. The more you save, but stock is limited, so if you've ever wanted to ceramic coat a car. This is definitely the time all you have to do is click on my link in the description box or in the comments section, and the special deal is automatically applied.

I'll also leave a four minute tutorial video i made on how to ceramic coat every surface of a car, but it's really easy. Just wash your car like normal and then wipe it down with rubbing alcohol to remove old, wax and oils. Then you just apply the coating to the supplied applicator. Rub it on wait, a minute and rub it off.
It's that easy. If you can wax a car, you can definitely ceramic coat a car, and you can coat every exterior surface, including the glass and including the wheels which reduces the amount of brake dust that stick to them, and it's one of the best trim restores on the market. You're gon na have a blast restoring trim, it's instant gratification. Every coated surface will repel dirt and water, keeping your car cleaner for longer, and i just coated the hood on my off-road ml and look how the dirt only sticks to the uncoated fender.

This coating lasts years, not months like wax, and it adds a deep glossy shine to your paint. Anyone can coat a car in a couple of hours and this special deal ends monday night may 31st 2021, so act fast, while supplies last link in the description box or in the comments. Now, let's get back to fixing stuff got one of my kids in the car to hit the brakes so we'll see exactly where it's coming from. I think it's this line go ahead: buddy, okay! Oh my gosh, jeez, wear safety, glasses people all right! Do that! One! More time, buddy, okay, stop yeah! No! No! That's enough! That's enough! That's enough! Don't do not do it again.

Do not do it again seriously. We're done safety, glasses safety. Glasses, are very important. I still can see, though, so that's good wow all right.

So we have a straight up hole so for now, let's get this guy out of the way. We're just gon na simply break this off here, so we can try and get a socket on the end. There we go. Oh yeah came right out so yeah.

It's usually best not even to mess around with a wrench there we go just fell right out, just break the line off, get a socket on there. This is a 10 mil in this case and it came right out. So that is excellent news, guys excellent news. All right, let's keep on going with that.

I'm gon na break this guy. Off too we go we'll get a 10 on the bottom of there. I'm gon na get some uh vice grips to hold this end and we're just gon na go ahead and try and get it off with the impact kind of hard to hold the other end. There we go awesome, it's better to hold it firmly on one end, because this bracket was bending when it was bolted up to the axle housing and it's better to kind of shock it with an impact.

So yeah we're good to go, save the hose and we'll take these two end pieces to the store match up some line. I highly doubt they have the pre-made line uh from mopar and uh, we'll rig something up. That's for sure. I'm back from the auto parts, store 7.50 lighter and we have a brake line.

That's almost the exact same size proper fitting, so we don't have to do any cutting any bubble. Flaring we're just going to go ahead and screw this on, and this actually is going to be a really easy repair. I like getting the copper brake lines as they're much easier to bend and so we're just going to simply thread this guy in there. I just bolted the bracket back on so now.
All i'm going to do is bend this by hand and it's a huge advantage of going with the copper. Is you don't really need a bender? The steel ones are are pretty difficult to do, but this is very nice and flexible. It makes a very nice, rounded turn so you're, not kinking anything and we're just gon na go ahead and line this up. It's a little bit longer, but it's gon na work.

Just fine all right - and here we go here - is the new brake line. Looking pretty, everything went really well, except the bleeder is frozen solid, so we got to use some heat okay, so the last thing we want to do is melt all the plastic and the rubber brake line and everything. So i like to use a little shield before getting too crazy with heat just be mindful of where you're pointing this. Even the shock can blow up.

If you get too hot, got ta, be really careful guys. This is map gas. It's serious, we might be in trouble with this bleeder guys. It is stuck all right.

I got it uh, basically just more heat and the vice grips and it is loose. Ah, that's great guys, it's so hot right now. I can't touch it, but that thing is loose. This is gross but uh yeah welcome to midwest type of cars or northern cars where they use salt yep.

This is gon na thread right out, so i'm gon na go to the store again get a bleeder and we'll be good to go. All right got a new bleeder. These are the biggest rip-offs. I bought two of them just in case because i'm sure we're gon na break up another one and it was 13 bucks.

So these two bleeders were more than the brake line. What a rip! Okay go down again! Nice go up and go down one more time and go up all right. We're good thanks pal all right! Let's try this again and it's not pulling when we slam on the brakes. Let's hope it doesn't blow another line.

No we're good and, most importantly, the front is not hanging up anymore, so now that i'm driving it the way it is now it rolls so much easier. It had a little bit of resistance last time that i kind of just chalked up to the brakes being rusted yeah. Now it's just beautiful, oh yeah. We got good brakes.

Let's move on all right! So next up, we have to figure out why this back glass does not open for multiple reasons. First off you got to be able to open your back glass, it's kind of a cool feature um, but i'm going to be bringing this to the body shop to have this dent fixed, and this painted this probably will be the most expensive part of the job. I also have both new bumpers at the body shop, they're gon na paint them i'm gon na install them to save a little bit of money, but this is something i can't handle on my own. Normally, you would just hit this button here and it is not doing anything so we got ta start with the basics, let's check the fuse, so it's fuse number eight, a 20 ampere, it's this guy right there and i already checked it and unfortunately it's good.
So let's go take some stuff apart in the back and see what we can see. Okay, so i took this back plastic panel off to expose all of the wiring and electronics and everything that's going on here, and this is the popper. This is the popper right here, so it doesn't work, but technically it should push on this that'll open this up. So let's see yeah there we go so now it opens.

So that's good. This latch seems to be in good shape and this does look like a replaceable part um. So, let's power probe it, let's see if this is actually good or bad all right. Here's my little test rig.

We have a little jumper wire, we're gon na put into the ground side and then we're just gon na power. This up right to the solenoid. It's got a green light, that's good! Here we go yep cool, so we know this works. We know it has the potential of working, it's just not getting power from the car all right.

So after staring at this for a few minutes, i found that there are a few switches that i believe need to see a certain position in order for this to function, and this is the most obvious - and this tells us the position of the latch for the Glass there's another one that tells us the position of the latch for the actual back hatch and then it looks like we have a micro switch here for the handle. I believe so we're going to attack the most obvious, we're gon na jump at this guy and see if it works. Okay, so i just have that jumped with a paper clip and now we're gon na hit this button, and hopefully it works, and it does not work. Okay could have a bad switch too.

We could jump that as well all right, so i've removed the switch, we're gon na go ahead and jump this guy, and no, it is not the button back here. That's jumped as well. Everything else is connected or jumped okay moving on moving on all right, so we can double check this switch by touching both of our leads to the two pins on the inside pressing the button, and if i can get good contact here there we go there. We go so that is going down to zero ohms when i get good contact, so that means we have continuity with the switch switch is definitely good.

Okay. So next up we are going to attack this connector here. This goes to the black micro switch for the handle, and what we want to do is jump the leads on this side going to the body harness and we'll see if jumping this completes the circuit. So that's it.

We've jumped this here. Let's go hit our switch. Everything else is connected and see what happens. I think this is the fourth thing we've checked so maybe fourth time as a charm.

Let's see oh, it works. We got a bad micro switch. Oh, it works every time all right. Well, i don't want to buy a micro switch, so let's see if there's any way, we can fix this.
So this is what i figured out. This switch is sticking. I don't know if you guys can hear this, so it needs to be in that position right. There, in order for this to work.

So if i do that manually and then go around here press the button, it works, i think for now i'm going to try spraying a little bit of penetrating oil or something in here to get this guy to go back and forth, because it's just simply hinged And it is it's a little rusted in place as well, so we're just using some metal protector wd-40 would work really lots of products for this just simply spray. This whole thing down just like that. That should be enough and we'll just work this a few times like that move this guy back and forth too. That micro switch just makes it so that you can't open this when the car is locked, so let's go lock it and see what happens.

So i just locked it and it doesn't work. Let me try, unlocking it yep we're good to go, so it doesn't work when it's locked and it works when it's unlocked perfect all right. It's a couple days later and the jeep is at the body shop and it's almost done so. There was a pretty big dent right here that is gone and then, of course we had our dent with a little bit of rust right here.

So that has all been pulled filled nicely and it's almost ready to go into the paint booth where we have the newly painted bumpers. Look at the quality guys look at this. It hasn't even been wet, sanded or buffed. Yet - and it is perfect - and here is the other one sweet - this is gon na look so good.

Oh man and these bumpers are so cheap guys. You can pick these up for like a hundred dollars, each new and uh and then spend you know. Maybe three four hundred bucks getting them painted, so i have about five ish into the bumpers, but then i'm gon na be another like six seven hundred dollars deep for this. So i'm spending quite a bit at the body shop.

I'm saving a little bit of money. R r, in the bumpers myself, but i think the jeep is worth it and check it out. I got a new seat bottom for the rear. This thing is basically mint.

The other one has a nasty stain and you can't have a proper five nine without the five nine specific tail pipe. So i got one of those as well. Someone chopped this off and put this guy on there. So i bought this and the seat for a hundred bucks back at home base and i brought the wiper arms with me.

So, while they're painting the jeep, i'm gon na paint these arms so as you can see, they're a little bit faded and some of the paint has come off completely yeah. So we're going to sand these down, paint them and i'll get fresh blades on here, because these have deteriorated to nothing. Yeah here is my makeshift paint. Booth, the old alley garbage can booth works as well as any so we're just giving these guys a nice sand down little scuff once we restore the cowl trim with these new arms, it just shaves years off the look of the car okay.
Next, i set up the wiper arms in my professional alley, paint booth using a tripod and a wire, and i used whatever i had lying around the garage, so a primer and a black spray paint. I laid down two coats of the primer and two coats of the color, and then i let them bake in the sun, and here is the finished product. Not too shabby it's the next day and the jeep is all masked off and we are in the paint. Booth, so the guys already laid down the primer now it's ready for color and then clear all right, so we've let it bacon here for about 30 minutes.

So now it is ready for the clear coat. Although i got ta say this kind of matte finish. Doesn't look too bad all right, it's been about an hour baking in here at, like i don't know, 150 160 degrees tape is coming off all right guys. This is the easiest bumper cover ever.

It has like. Maybe eight clips. There are no bolts, and you can literally just take it off with one hand, while filming look, we don't even need to swap over the fog lights, they stay with the jeep, and this is kind of nice to see behind. Here.

Doesn't look like this thing's really ever been in an accident that looks to me like an original sticker, at least a very old one, and a lot of times when something's been in a wreck. These brackets are slightly tweaked, see that screw right there, that's never been turned. The jeep did have a pretty nice carfax and this definitely shows pretty cool all right out with the old in with the new looking so good right now, i'm gon na buff out the headlights as well um, but the old bumper had a crack down there and It was missing a chunk, or it's still missing a chunk right here. So, for the cost of these things like about 100 bucks, you can find them online, definitely worth it just to replace it and call it a day, and then you can sub out the paint like i did, throw it on in about 20 minutes and you're good To go, i'm kind of bouncing all over the place, but there is no time to waste.

We are going to now replace this nasty little seat bottom with this. Basically perfect seat bottom and i'll probably end up taking this back off during the interior detail. But this is really easy, literally just slides right in like that and you're done all right. So the ac on the jeep is not cold at all, but the compressor is cycling on and off, meaning that it isn't completely empty and considering this thing sat for five years, there's a good chance.

All it needs is a little bit of a charge and then we'll have working ac, so i'm gon na charge it up all right. One more cracked, tail light there. We go yeah that one's a little nicer goodbye, rear bumper yeah. That thing was in pretty rough shape.

Worse than the front, it's been real. Well, it's a little rusty. It is a minnesota jeep after all, but i'd venture to say it hasn't been wrecked back here either. This all looks original to me: yeah, not bad.
Three two one pass leak test passed: awesome you can see here, we haven't lost any vacuum and i had the leak test for i think 10 minutes. So we're good to go. Let's charge it up. 26 ounces.

Here we come there we go. Let's see, i can already tell oh yeah it's cold: oh it's nice and cold, yes, working ac in the auction jeep. This is such a bonus. I just assumed the ac system was gon na need a bunch of work, but we are good that was holding a decent charge.

I'm actually surprised it wasn't cooler before, but this is mint all right. One more thing fixed it's the next day again and we are finally ready for the detail so excited for this. They welded on the five nine specific tail pipe yesterday it looks perfect. The alignment is great, and so now really the only thing we have left to do before washing it is removing this old guy and seeing uh seeing what lies beneath.

I get the point of these to protect from bugs and rocks flying up on your hood and windshield. But how are you ever supposed to clean in here? I just don't get it and it just traps dirt. It's like literally a channel to trap dirt. That's probably why we don't see these anymore.

This is so bad. It just trapped dirt in there for years and years and years, so we can pretty much guarantee. This has never been washed and there's no rust, which is a little surprising and even the jeep emblem looks to be in good shape. How satisfying was that? Oh, that was so much fun.

I wish there was more oh wait. There's kind of more hang on see you oh and check it out guys we have all four new tires mounted and not gon na lie. I'm a little bit worried about how i'm gon na clean up this wheel. I'm gon na use this iron decon from chemical guys.

This stuff is phenomenal. I've used it on really dirty cars before i ceramic coat them, and it's also good at cleaning up wheels that look like this. So i'm going to go ahead and hit these first. While i'm rinsing the rest of the car, we might have to do this a few times to get this stuff off of here.

This stuff smells so bad. How did it get a rock chip? It had a rock chip guard like that's literally right behind the plastic. What is going on, i want my money back all right, let's see where we're at with this wheel, it's a little bit better, i'm going to go ahead and put some more of the iron remover on there. We may have to get a little elbow grease in there to agitate it, but i think we can get this clean here.

It is, after the first rinse looks pretty good, except for the bronze wheel back there. So now i'm gon na spray iron decon on pretty much everything. So i will warn you. This stuff really smells bad and in some areas, it'll rinse off purple, so you're gon na want to let this sit on the car for about five minutes.

To do its thing and then you're simply just gon na rinse it off now you can see. Some of this is turning purple right now and we're gon na hit it with the brush. I kind of hope for the best. Okay, all right guys, i'm really not getting anywhere.
I'd - have to leave to go to a parts store to buy some wheel cleaner. If you've been watching some of my videos lately, i am out of my elements just working at random different places, so we have some wd-40 uh. This could very well work. This is a little trick.

I learned a long time ago, so i covered up the caliper and i'm just going to go ahead and soak the wheel in this stuff. I use the brush on this area. That's why it's coming up, but i think it's going to work all right. It's been soaking for a little bit wow.

This is going to really suck yeah. I don't know about this wd-40. This is just an extreme situation. I just got back from the parts store they didn't have the best selection of wheel, cleaner, i'm not gon na lie.

I don't really have too much faith in this. I think it's just gon na require a lot of elbow grease, so i bought these two guys we'll see what happens. I highly doubt this is gon na work, all right, i'm moving on to the scuff ball. This isn't the super coarse one.

I don't believe it'll do any damage. If i'm gentle with it. Oh yeah, i think this is going to be the ticket just got to keep it. Lubricated don't want to scratch the wheels, but i don't think there's any chance.

I'm able to do this by hand. Oh, this is beautiful, not bad, not bad! Let's see! Yes, yes did i destroy anything. I don't think so. Let's dry it see if it's all scuffed up, i think we're good all right cool, i'm gon na scuff.

All this entire thing and i'll show you the final product so remember this hang on, i was gon na cut to the final product, but this is too satisfying to not show you watch this. This is looking so good dude. I can't believe this is the same wheel. I seriously thought we were just gon na have to end the video with me having one copper or bronze looking wheel, but this is awesome.

It's a little difficult to get in here where the lugs are but uh, but yeah. This is gon na, be the best looking wheel on the jeep now weird. Now that the jeep is clean, i see this pretty decent sized scuff slash scratch ooh. I don't know if i'll be able to get that out, but let's give it a shot all right.

Let's see, we got oh yeah. This is really nice. Look at that. We got that scuff out completely.

It's perfect. The only part that didn't come out 100. Is this scratch, but with this paint color, you can barely see it see right in there all right. Well, i'm not going to buff out the entire jeep.

It looks pretty good overall. This is a 120 000 mile driver after all, and you guys have seen me do like 40 hour paint correction videos. That is not what this is gon na, be i'm just gon na polish out some of the areas that i think need polishing like behind this bug, slash rock guard. It's a little bit more dull than the rest of the paint we'll do the headlights a couple.
Little scuffs here and there and we're good to go just buffed out the front of the hood and one of the headlights and these headlights weren't too bad to begin with. But there it is before - and here is the after. So much much better. And this really shaves years off your car as well just buffing out the headlights and it takes just a couple of minutes.

This is the only ceramic coating prep step that i think you really have to do. You don't have to spend hours buffing your car. If you think it looks pretty good, then do it so we're spraying it down with a mix of rubbing alcohol and water to remove any old, wax or oils that may be on the clear coat. You don't want to seal that stuff in so very very easy.

Just spraying this all over the car and you're good to go all right. The whole jeep is wiped down and ready for the ceramic coating. Looking pretty already we're going to do. The final reveal at the forest preserve and i still have to do the interior, but unfortunately the windshield i ordered a few days ago.

It was the wrong one, so they can't do it right now, uh, which really stinks, but i'm gon na go ahead and put my newly painted uh wiper arms on after we ceramic coat this trim and make it look pretty you just prime your pad and wipe It on easiest thing in the world, and i like to do probably about a three by three or so section and you'll get this done in no time so this section is coated, we'll wait a minute and then simply wipe it off all right. We got to hit up this cowl. This is so much fun guys look at the difference. This is crazy.

There's really no reason to get a trimmer store. I just got done ceramic coating, the entire jeep and all of the trim and i'll show you everything when we get outside, but this is looking so good. Hang on hang on. Take a look at this.

Yes, look at these newly painted wipers. I wish we had a new windshield, but that's okay. The handles are looking so good. We got rid of our scuffs over here.

Things are looking up it's the next day. The ceramic coating is dry and, of course, it rained the entire ride home. It's like a half hour from my house, but luckily pretty much. Nothing sticks to a car after it's been ceramic coated, so the jeep is looking good before we do.

The final reveal at the forest preserve stick around for that guys. It's coming up in probably a couple minutes for you guys uh, i'm gon na wipe it down and make it look pretty again, even though it looks pretty much perfect right now, oh and before i forget something i did off. Camera was the right front brake hose. So after driving it to the body shop, i did feel a little bit more heat on this side than the other side.

So i decided to go ahead and do the hose. Sometimes those can fail in a way where they act as kind of a check valve and they keep the brakes applied slightly so before it was smoking and really locking up on me. So moving the caliper, piston back and forth definitely fix that and now, with the new hose, it's 100 perfect all right. So this is what we're working with for the interior.
It's not the worst, but it's definitely not the best either. I'm sure it's been a little while, since it's been cleaned, lots of dust everywhere, uh leaves and whatnot. So we can definitely make this a lot better and something i wanted to show you was after you're done. Vacuuming is that you can use a little bit of tide and water in a spray bottle and a little brush to clean most of your interior.

So there are a lot of good interior cleaning products out there. I use them as well, but if you're on a budget and because this stuff smells awesome, you can use tide so check this out a little bit on the brush. I don't need to go too crazy and this stuff smells so good and we'll just do top to bottom. Here, don't worry about the switches.

If you go gentle around them, you're, not cramming water down them you're going to be good. I wish you guys could smell through the tv or the phone or the tablet or whatever you're, watching this on love tide and we're going to use this on the carpets as well and we'll just vacuum it right out of there. Let's give it a little wipe if you have an air gun, you can blow this stuff out too right into the microfiber that works. But if you don't it's not a big deal.

Just take you a couple minutes extra and there you have it a perfectly clean, jeep door panel. So we're going to continue with this pretty much everywhere. You don't necessarily need to scrub the dash these usually wipe away pretty easily, and i'm just using a little bit of tide on this rag as well, but in areas like this tide works wonders, and these brushes are amazing. Yeah, like three of them for less than 10 bucks and i'll leave.

You guys a link to any of the stuff you see in this video. Everything will be down there. You guys get the idea, it's not exactly rocket science, but oh wait hang on something else. I want to show you guys so we're just going to saturate the carpets with the tide again and then you can get one of these brushes.

I bought a kit off of amazon they're great, you put them on the end of a drill, yeah, and you can really clean up your carpets in short order, get a little bit more tied in there. That's why i like using the tide i mean it's so inexpensive. I have like a gallon of it in my laundry room and i just put - i don't know - maybe an ounce in one of these, and even if you go through a few of these you're using like 20 cents worth of tide, my battery was dying here. We go all right, i'm not the best at making the detail lines in the carpet, but i know for sure this is clean, so i'm gon na go do the rest of the interior and then my wife's coming out for her part to see you guys remember What the back of this thing looked like, if you don't here it is, it was disgusting and now i i just kind of want to like curl up and live back here.
This is great, hey how's, it going not good. No! No! This does not look good alex at all. It's a pretty big riff. Isn't it well yeah? Can't you just replace the seat like you did with the back i'm on a budget, it's a budget build.

Can you afford me being out here all day? No, not really. Okay, how much does this seat cost? If you probably 120 bucks alex this isn't gon na happen? Is it no? No! It's just. This is not easy to get this through. Well, you know what they say: happy wife, happy life, and this wasn't really going anywhere.

So i apologize guys, i thought we were going to be able to sell this up and make it happen, and maybe an upholstery shop could with a machine or something but uh yeah. I thought this was going to be like 10 15 minutes. I'm a mechanic people, not a seamstress, i didn't know. I thought this was going to be easy.

I don't know anything about interiors uh so anyway, if you guys have a seat bottom for a 98 jeep grand cherokee in black or charcoal. I think uh comment down below or email me at legit streetcars legitstreetcars gmail.com. I will buy it from you. Aside from the seat.

Here is the interior, so the dash on this jeep was in excellent condition. So are all the buttons and switches - and this looks so good now and we have the radio looks great. All the white on the buttons isn't gone, and i used a little bit of leather cleaner as well, and the seats cleaned up very very nicely, and these are some of the most comfortable seats around back seats. Looking good as well, everything is nice and clean and if you guys remember in the first video the trim around the sunroof was falling down, i fixed that as well so overall, very very happy with the jeep interior.

As soon as i get that seat bottom man, i wish i had that seat. Bottom uh. This is gon na, be perfect. Well, i don't know if you guys remember what the five nine looked like when it showed up to my house just a few weeks ago.

Seven hundred and fifty dollars from the auction most people considered this junk abandoned for five years, and here is where we are now. I am so proud of this little suv. It has come such a long way in such a short amount of time and i've had a blast working on it. I'm glad you guys have been enjoying the jeep series.

Yes, this looks so good. We have some cooper tires. 350 bucks shipped. We did a lot of budget repairs on this.

The only thing that kind of cost me a little bit of money was the bodywork. So i know you guys are probably wondering what do i have into this jeep? It's a clean title, grand cherokee with 119 000 miles, and now it looks like this well, i have about 36 3 700 into it. So an okay deal. This isn't gon na make me a millionaire or anything like that, but i'm pretty happy with it.
It's not perfect, it's a nice driver, it definitely still needs little things here and there and it is a minnesota jeep. So it's not perfect underneath as well, but i don't want that to take away from just what i'm experiencing right now, which is my very own. 98, 5 9 liter jeep grand cherokee. I've wanted one of these ever since i was a kid my friend had one in high school.

I loved that, and now here is my own and his was the exact same color as well. So this thing just brings back a ton of awesome, awesome memories. We took road trips in his five nine. We did everything with that thing, some things i'm not too proud of, but uh.

He still has it, and now i have one too. I can't wait to show him. I uh i'm just yeah. I don't know what to say.

Look at this thing. Look at this so nice, so nice we got to do some jeep decals whatever, but wow, and it really the paint is shining up like crazy. I mean this thing was just left at the auction to die. Look at it look at it and this is without a major buff.

The paint just wasn't that bad, so i went around it with the clay mitt. We took everything out of the clear coat and here she is. I basically just want to film another five minutes of me walking around showing you how cool this thing is. Look at the five nine tail pipe.

This is so awesome, but you can always follow me at legit, streetcars, on instagram and on facebook, where i post up lots of pictures of my projects and you better believe the five nine will be on there. So with that, i hope you guys really enjoyed this video at least as much as i enjoyed making it. I am seriously having a blast with these little budget projects. So if you guys want to comment down below, what's another budget car you'd like to see me kind of spruce up and bring back to life in a pretty realistic fashion, we do some of the work ourselves we sub out the stuff we can't do buy used Parts, it doesn't have to be that crazy.

So let me know in the comment section give this video a thumbs up share the video subscribe if you're new to the channel and most importantly, have an awesome day i'll catch all of you in the next video you.

Well… My dad had a 97 Jeep grand Cherokee that was falling apart, it had a black interior, and what seemed to me at the time, no cracks, only issue is that in 2016, it basically fell apart while he was driving home from work, he was driving this crusty jeep because his other car, a 96 geo prizm had some pully or something break or something, I don't remember because this was from 2015, and I was an 8 year old idiot who got an intrest from cars by playing too much ps1 gran trismo 2 and xbox 360 need for speed shift (ngl tho, my skills where surprisingly good, or I just played enough to earn myself 4 million cash in shift) the only really good memories of the jeep were sitting in the back seat when I was 4 while my dad drove to the hardware store to get things to fix our crappy house while listening to good 70s – 90s on the radio on the way to the store, wich probably explains my profile pic… Oh well all good things come to an end, like I said, the jeep fell apart in 2016 and he replaced it with an F-150, if I could only be a 2000s kid instead of a late 2010s kid… oh well life sucks…

I always had to spends 400$ every autumn for getting mine ready for the next winter. Always something broken needing fixing. You have to be either a very very godd mechanic or have money to run one of these. These make great snowplow vehicles if u have the np242, Great video btw.

โ€œJesus answered: โ€œWatch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, โ€˜I am the Messiah,โ€™ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. โ€œThen you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.โ€

It's a 5.9 Grand. Definitely not a total pile. If you put even $4,000 + into it, the money would be well worth it. And super cool to see someone actually troubleshooting to find the problem with the rear window.
About the ceramic coat . .. What sort of prep will I need to do to so the coating will be good?

Anyone know what these things are worth in the 3rd party market? I picked a decent one up for 800 a few months ago, if there's a profit to be made then I am thinking I'll sell it after I fix a few things.

Itโ€™s becoming a very sweet ride but I would have absolutely put dual exhaust on it, I have Flow Master 10โ€™s at the tips of my dual exhaust on my Challenger RT Hemi 5.7 and it sounds like a monster, my young son calls it the Beast !!! This 5.9 will sound awesome with the same exhaust that I have !!!

This Jeep is sickkkk bro. My mom had several of these with the 4.0โ€™s when I was growing up and one 5.9. The 5.9 was exactly like this but I remember vividly it only had 15k miles on it when she bought it. In 2004 or 2005 for I believe $3500.

I was just going to say use Castrol super clean for the rim's and there it is. I have used this for years on my vehicles. Hey probably even better find a local upholstery shop and they could fix the seat.
