Fixing on the road while rolling: does shutting of my E350 on the highway while rolling in neutral at 100km/hr, popping the door open and then closed to restart to clear a limp mode count? (Note to self, the tranny doesn't behave well at all after doing this – full stop recommended FYI) Other then that, only on road fixing I've done is hold the wheel with my leg to bang on a piece of trim to stop an annoying rattle or squeek!
Brings back memories and feels. My first car was basically this one without the t-tops. I was so proud I got it to run 13.9 with a minimal amount of bolt ons. They may be slow by today's standards, but they were a lot of fun. They would chirp into 3rd gear. Lots of torque that pulls those gs nicely
it's lots easier to do a job the second time. You know exactly what is required. Almost cheating. And you lavished a new $200 tank on that piece of excrement. You should have placed to handful of 20mm gravel in it with a quart of fuel and shook it and rinsed it a few times .It works well.

When the Wagoneer ceased production in 1991, it boasted the longest continuous automotive production run on the same platform in the United States. The original Wagoneer was the first luxury 4×4 SUV. It was also the first 4×4 vehicle to offer an independent suspension.
The Ford panther platform lasted 33 years but there were different generations of bodies unlike the Jeep. So depending on what your definition is, a single body style generation would be the Jeep with the platform being the Ford panther. Those body styles were split into 3 generations though 79-91, 92-97 and 98-11.
Boy do I have a story about those damn 5.5mm Ford bolts. In the summer of 2002, the crank sensor on my 1993 Thunderbird SC failed because it got routed too close to ine of the belts after a shop changed the motor mounts. My buddy had to tow me 4 miles in the dark with his wife's 93 Buick Century to hi house and we spent the next 3.5 days tearing apart the front of the engine to get 2 seized 5.5mm bolts loose that held the crank sensor on. What a PITA. I personally witnessed someone break down on the side of I44 on labor day weekend 2001 when their crank sensor failed on the way back from the supercoupe nationals in Oklahoma city. One if the cars in the group that ledt an hour after us had the part and the tools and they fixed his in an hour. We were 't so lucky with mine. We ended up having to pull the radiator fan, most of the accessories etc. And they still didn't want to come loose. I think we had to have a tool fabricated. It was a nightmare. When we put it hack together, we used allen bolts lol. 🖕 those POS Ford 5.5mm bolts!

yeah people can be real assholes even if your car is clearly having issues, had a few years ago where my 96 Subaru Legacy died as I was pulling into my work parking lot and I had someone start honking at me I got out and yelled at them my car died like seriously fuck off
Fuel pump quit on my car about an hour away from my house, so we used a pump with the input in the fuel tank and the output to the engine to get home
Back in the day. It was normal to have a couple tfi modules and a 5.5 mil in the glove box. It's one of those parts that it doesn't matter who name is on it. It just goes out after a while. So I always bought the cheap ones.
