Foreign there has corroded away to nothing. Is this a sway bar link? All right, it won't. Uh, it won't go into reverse anymore. Don't do this at home.

Hey guys, welcome back to legit street Cars and welcome to another Mercades or Honda Katie's videos. We can't seem to decide between those two names. You guys left like a thousand suggestions down below and those were the most popular. So between Mercedes and Honda Katies which one do you prefer? I Kind of like the Honda Katies because it has Honda K series and Mercedes mixed in.

But let me know in the comment section Anyway, in this video. uh, unfortunately we have to figure out why this thing won't run. So we made it back here. Chicago We made it 800 miles from New Jersey We actually drove it around for like a week and then it got really cold.

Sat here and now it won't start. It's like 50 degrees today. Uh, so we'll see what happens. Maybe something with the tune and the map wouldn't allow it to start when it was like negative eight degrees? uh I don't know.

Peter Hey, it starts now All right. cool. It wouldn't do anything. It was backfiring like crazy.

It sounded like it was gonna blow up. I Was like kind of worried about the engine. Still a little worried about it. sounds like a tractor but it runs I Was worried it had skipped timing or something.

It literally would backfire. It sounded like a like a gunshot and she died. That wasn't me that just died on its own. It was the Mercedes part right? All right, let's try it again.

I Guess it's our turbo air filter is spinning. Sounds very Honda from the back tractor from the front and we are missing the cluster right now because I Had a high school kid email me and he does 3D printing and skills and try and print something with the digital display in the cluster that looked a little bit more professional. So hopefully we'll have that back in this video. so I can show you what Oliver did This thing rattles loose.

We lost the screws and everything. so that's right so it won't stay running. huh? All right, we're going to continue to try and warm this up to see if it'll stay running. And if you're curious about this thing, it's Wild 30 000 Mile S 500 that was owned by an NFL player.

Uh, it's Slam now. Anyway, this is either currently on Legit Street Cars 2 or will be on there shortly. So either way, go subscribe to the second channel for really weird one-off stuff like that. Thank you.

You want to just try and drive ahead? Yeah, whatever. right? I don't know you can do it Peter Oh, there we go. We were getting insane Pops from this thing when trying to start it when it was cold. There we go.

It's got a two-step You know, something really bad. This thing is running so rich it's got its own crackle tune. It's igniting fuel in the exhaust right now. That's why we keep on getting these backfires.

Guys, There's some of them that were just insanely Loud Let's shut it off. Let's shut it off. All right. We made it in the shop, but it hasn't been easy.
Come on baby. Yeah, it kept dying. Now it won't start on. Oh almost.

It does smell very fuely. Yeah, it does. Yeah, all right guys. So first things first.

we need to figure out if we can hook up a scanner to this car and pull codes. And so we have this Honda ECU and they just cut the factory cabin filter box to fit this in there. It's kind of oh geez. see all that water that is not that's just sitting inside the ECU Dude I Hope not.

they put a screw in there so this ECU is not supposed to actually get wet. Um, and yeah, we know the swap was done a couple years ago so it's been in here for a while. but geez. I Hope that water is not coming out of these seats.

We had it covered in a bag outside the whole time, but it could have been from before. This guy was just sitting outside when we bought it and who knows how long it was out there. Oh, you just don't have green fuzz. How much is this computer again? Um, the ECU itself isn't a lot, but if the it's there's like a little piggyback board.

If that's bad, I think it's like 800 bucks or something. I thought Hondas were like economical Peter What's going on here I Might it might as well just have a Mercedes engine. at this point, there is some moisture in there. Yeah, for sure.

Oh yeah, there's definitely moisture in there because this is not sealed at all. These usually live in the passenger compartment. Yeah, they're not meant to be outside so there's moisture. Just this thing's been outside for at least a couple of years.

So all right. great. See how this is the K-pro daughter board that piggybacks and okay, well. I guess we can pull that off too, right? Yeah, let's see.

So besides figuring out why this doesn't run well, uh, this is the first time we've really had it in the shop. so we're gonna lift it up and look over the Swap and kind of discover what exactly has been done to this. Miranda Katie's whatever it's called. Um, kind of probably going to be a little hacked up.

It is a Honda engine and a Mercedes but hopefully it's not too bad stuff. Oh yeah. well. luckily.

Peter there is an excellent video on YouTube that I found on cleaning control units. It was done on a BMW by a couple of really handsome fellas. I Must say. Um, but we could learn from that video and we probably know so much.

they probably they're probably just so good looking. Yeah yeah, they probably smell nice too. Yeah, it really is not like us. we stink.

But yeah, it's much better looking. So we're gonna take this board uh, apart even more and we'll try cleaning it. If you guys haven't seen the Alpena video, I'll link it down below. but uh, that thing had about 15 modules that were wet because they were in the trunk and the back glass was bashed out.

Uh, the dealership wanted fifteen thousand dollars to fix all of them or to replace them all and we cleaned them up and fixed everything for about a hundred and fifty dollars. So if we can do it to an Alpena we can do it. You can do it. Wow! This green corrosion in here does not look very fresh.
I think it's been on there for quite some time, but I think we can fix this at about the same time it takes me to prepare an amazing meal from today's video sponsor. and we really want to be able to save this computer because it's very, very expensive. Peter Just looked this up and it is 975 dollars. The possibility this could be rebuilt as well, so hopefully we're not out 975 dollars. but uh, let's just cross our fingers that cleaning it will do the trick.

Lots of screws holding this guy on. Oh wow, this thing is just sitting in water. Uh, okay. now this side doesn't look too bad.

What a shame. Had they just like installed this better, this wouldn't have happened. But this corrosion looks old. like it's been a couple years.

It's been slowly creeping in there because as soon as we got to legit three quarters, we had a big plastic bag over this thing. So okay, kind of lucky we made it home. To be honest with you, that could have really screwed us up. A little bit of damage right in there.

All right, let's get to cleaning. If you guys saw the BMW video, you know what we're going to do here. Just some electrical contact cleaner and we'll just start off like this and like this. and then we're just gonna literally use a toothbrush to get some of this green fuzz out of here.
Part I'm most concerned about is right here and right in here. but hopefully these leads have not corroded to the point where there's an open and you can see some of that Gunk just coming right off. So take your time on this. No need to get violent.

Gotta be very gentle if you have any chance of fixing a circuit board. All right, this is looking a million times better. Pretty much gotten all the corrosion out of this area here. all right, so we're just going to be very gentle here in between these leads.

There might be one missing right. here Oh yeah, Oh yeah, she's gone. That right there has corroded away to nothing. Uh, what a shame.

Play some music on this guy though. Hey, look. Peter Japan Oh, that's where part of your DNA is from. Dude, are you just messing with me because there have been a lot of words that translate to awesome and they're not the same.

Well Japanese People are really awesome. They have to have all the different words to say. They're really awesome. Japanese People watching.

Is he messing with me? What does that actually mean? Well, we're going to keep cleaning here because it did run. without that. There's no way that lead just corroded off in the last few weeks. So I'm going to assume that was gone before we left.

It hasn't been that long. So this is the modification from Han data so it can work with that piggyback module right here. So they added these wires in here. but this is a factory RSX computer.

That's all. it is. all right. We're gonna do one last little rinse here and then we're gonna plug her in and see what happens.

and we should know right away if this fixes it or not because it ran beautifully when we drove it here. so maybe we don't need to send it out or get a new one. All right. We have reinstalled everything except for the cover and we got a little green light there.

Peter if you want to go ahead and try and start it now, start up quicker than normal. lately. That one runs pretty good. Yeah, it runs really good.

Oh yeah, that's exactly how we got. It runs great. Got a little bit of a belt noise right now I Don't remember having that. Oh, we gotta pop there right off.

Idle's clean though. Oh okay. and then it died. It still ran pretty good though.

That was good. Well man, we never got it to it. Never just died randomly on that 800 mile trip. huh? It definitely sounds like a tractor.

I Don't know if something's rattling in here. Let's see how our black smoke is on the trip. We didn't really have any black smoke at all. Um, that's way better.

We've definitely fixed the major issue here and that's just a little bit of steam. It's cold in the shop, but yeah. I mean this runs a million times better. I Mean it would never run this long before.
It's possible it was flooded with a ton of fuel. We just need to clear it up. I Think we're just gonna get it up to operating temperature. Pressure is good.

All right. cool. So let's just warm it up for a little while. All right, while it's warming up, let's look at the madness underneath the Honda Katie's see what we've gotten ourselves into.

We do also have to figure out what's going on. uh with the clutch because every once in a while it basically just isn't releasing and the clutch pedal feels horrible I don't know about these uh eBay special headlights either. I'm not sure guys comment down below what I should do with the Cosmetics on the car I'll pop it up on the screen here. but I really like the ground effects kit on the C230 compressor and then also the compressor comes with larger Brakes in the front I think they're the same as the C55 AMG brakes and if I'm not mistaken, the body kit is the same as well.

I'll put up pictures of the C55 too, but you can buy a four-door C230 compressor with like a bad engine or a bad transmission for like a thousand dollars. and then I could pirate the bumper which we need anyway. it's cracked in multiple spots and needs paint and everything. I could pirate the front bumper, the side skirts, and the rear bumper.

and instead of this kind of hacked up tailpipe, we would get the factory seat 30 tailpipe. So this thing would basically just look like a C230 So I can either go that route, lower it, make it just look kind of aggressive or I can just keep it looking like a normal C240 4matic and then it's just like a total sleeper I don't know I don't know which way I Want to go? let's take a look at this car. uh, kind of a rusty subframe. kind of normal though.

this isn't anything really structural and we're being a New Jersey car. This isn't bad either. So we have the factory diff. So this is probably just an open diff.

and what I'm curious about is the drive shaft situation. This looks very Mercedes and stock. Yep, 203 part number. Now this is a stock drive shaft and it's leading up to our six-speed manual transmission.

So this one is out of a Chevy Colorado and as you guys saw in the Reveal video has been welded I Don't know if that's a crack or a cut. Um, let's see here is a pressure plate and this has a really funky clutch feel. So here is the line. It's a hydraulic clutch and then it goes right in here.

So this has an internal sleeve cylinder. uh, right in there so we could have an issue with that or we need to bleed it. We'll definitely start off with a bleed and I think this is a bleeder port right here. or at least we can use it as one.

so we'll have to do that too in this video. see if we can get our clutch to work. But here's a better look at the fabrication that was done to fit this K Honda engine into the Mercedes So they built this entire extension of the subframe with the pedestals to mount the engine. This does look like the factory Mercedes-Benz rack and then they built this for sure for the transmission.
So this is all custom work. You know, got some hackery going on? that's that's for sure. It's not the prettiest, neither is the exhaust, but it's routed well. It seems to be sized properly.

It works. We were definitely getting some rattles on the way home, which surprisingly don't seem to be from the exhaust, huh? We'll have to look around. Um, what do we got? Oh well. this this could rattle.

Oh and is that cracked? Oh no. look at this. bell. housing bolt is just totally loose.

I'm gonna go around and just make sure all of these guys are tight. Yeah, this one's loose too. That could be a lot of our rattling noise. And with this little stubby I can get into this guy too.

All right. So we're gonna tighten this up and then we have to find the clutch fluid reservoir. We didn't see it under the hood and this line is going into here. So did they put the clutch Reservoir inside of the cabin of the car where it doesn't need to be and not the engine's computer possible.

Okay, so what we figured out is they did something actually pretty nice on here. They just used all the factory stuff. So this has the factory Mercedes master cylinder which is tough to see, but it's right by the clutch pedal, kind of underneath the dash there. and then they use the factory manual transmission Mercedes brake reservoir and as you can see here, this is the hose that feeds the fluid to the entire system and on the automatic cars.

this is just capped off so it is being utilized here and it looks like the Factory Master The factory slave everything is Mercedes So a couple things. all that stuff could be worn out or it could be improperly sized for the clutch that they installed. We're not 100 sure, but we're going to start off with a good old-fashioned clutch master and slave bleed. Uh, so this is just regular brake fluid so we're going to go ahead and top this up.

It is a little bit low actually. so there. Oh I had a bunch of brake fluid to it all right. Then from underneath the car we just have a hose hooked up.

We could just vacuum bleed this but we have Peter inside of the car. he's going to push down on the pedal so this is really nice. All we do is open the bleeder just by turning it like that and it is open Peter if you want to go down. Okay, yeah, that looked really good.

That looked really good. Okay I'm closed. You can go up. it's stuck down.

Okay, that was one of the issues we had in the right home. The clutch pedal kept on getting stuck to the ground and we had to like pull it up and kind of pump it for it to work. So this does look like it very well. Could be a bad Master It could be a slave, but I would do a master first because that's most likely the problem and we'd have to remove the transmission for the slave.
All right. I Am open? Okay, yeah, we're getting a really good fluid stream here. I'm closed. All right.

let's just do one more for the kids. Go ahead it is open. Oh, that was a weird, just kind of shot out there. Okay, there we go.

Peter's pushing the pedal down right now so you can kind of see this in action. Well, it looks pretty good. That looks like some nice travel All right? I Opened this up. Peter Go ahead and go down slowly with it.

I Just want to watch this all right? I Just wanted to see that stream come out so it's it's working well. so far. All right. We killed the battery because the coolant pump was running.

uh for the water to air intercooler system. So let's go ahead and fire this up. Let's say it starts right up. It runs great.

How's that clutch feeling? Now see that last little flip? Yeah, now it doesn't pretty much. Yeah, before sometimes it would straight up get stuck. try going into gear. Yeah, it pops up now.

Yeah, before it was really getting stuck down there. Yeah. Wanna go for a ride? All right, let's see here. Oh wow.

that went a nice reverse. Beautiful. and we weren't getting that before. Let's see.

Nice. Yeah, there were so many times before we couldn't get into gear and I'd have to pump the clutch pedal a bunch of times. I Still got a ton of that noise. Jeez.

I think it's just it's just bad insulation. What? The spray foam doesn't do it. The spray foam didn't do it. It's not Mercedes approved.

Oh this thing is so much fun. The Boost comes in so quick. I mean especially for a four-cylinder It doesn't feel like a four-cylinder it's just it's it's nice. So far so good on the trans though.

This clutch pedal is popping right back up. Oh my gosh, every once in a while it's still kind of not you going into gear. It's like really hard to shift quickly. Still think we have a clutch disengagement issue going on here like that's I can't shift any faster because it's so hard to pull it down because I don't think it's disengaging right away.

Yeah, see, right there. it's just. ah okay. see, it's just.

you just can't slam it. Is this a sway bar link? By the way, guys, is that what they use here? This looks like a sway bar end link and then they welded. Uh, you know a rod in here? Is that a caterpillar? but wow this is. this is such a Frankenstein Um yeah you can see there's play here in the bolt.

it's moving back and forth so there's that. as soon as I push the clutch in, that noise goes away right there. Yep, you can see here. this is where the shifter would have originally been on a Chevy Colorado and they had to make this linkage to bring it out to here.

and then also they had to weld in this plate to the floor and that's what holds this whole mechanism. I think that kind of flexes a little bit too I don't know. but anyway, we got the clutch to release a lot better. Uh, it runs great.
It has not died this entire little road trip and so cleaning the computer fixed that. I might still see if we can find another engine computer. but I don't think what was wrong with the circuit board is really affecting anything at all because it definitely has all of its power. It's not blowing any black smoke.

uh, it fires right up. Everything is good so we are going to have to find a better place for that engine computer guys. I Wish I could take you all for a ride in this. Honda Katie's It is so much fun! It might be kind of hacked up in some places, but it rips I wish I could shift faster.

wait a minute I Don't know why we're letting this car fog up. We totally have defrost and everything. It's still a Mercedes after all. But yeah, let's get gas.

We don't have a gas gauge right now now she's back back to Honda Reliability. Oh yeah. Oh, look at that. North Star Reliability right there.

You don't see too many of those on the road anymore. Oh, it's rotted out too. You really got to be into those old North Stars to keep them going all right so it won't uh, it won't go into reverse anymore. The shifter is stuck.

nothing. I'll try again. Come on. Peter You can do it.

Yeah, we got nothing. We got nothing on reverse. Look at this. can't get it in I Think the clutch issue is back.

Oh there we go. I had to pump it a little bit. Oh there we go. Now it goes in reverse.

Oh yeah, sorry. sorry. I tried for like three minutes. it wouldn't get in there.

Okay, so we just made it back to the shop and we were moving the car back and forth and it developed a fuel leak. So yeah, it's leaking a ton of fuel so we have to figure that out. But on a positive note, we have Oliver who just showed up. he, uh, he made us a new cluster.

So if you guys remember, our cluster was in very, very poor poor condition. They had put the screen just kind of plopped in. yeah, that they'd literally just cut that out. So uh, Oliver had reached out.

and he does 3D printing right? and you're in high school? Yep, cool and you're taking a class on this in school. I take it. Uh, no, not specifically on 3D printing. Um, but I'm part of the engineering program and we dabble with that a little bit.

Very nice. so show us what you did here. Um, it was a pretty big process, so here I'm actually able to play the entire process here in CAD of how I started with the different shades Apes to get everything together. Very cool.

So that's the outside of the screen. that's the you know, the block off piece that blocks off that outside edge. Now we're moving into the piece where it kind of clips into that uh, cluster piece and then those are the clips. So this is removable now.
Yeah, like Okay Cool. So the piece was printed in two. Um, so you can see the seam down the middle, there and there. There's a clip on the bottom there and then we have the one on the top there.

Very nice. I mentioned to Oliver that I might replace the bezel. this is brown and I'm just going to get a black one and it's got holes and stuff drilled into it. so now I can transfer his entire piece over.

So this is all his work right in here and we don't need the factory fuel gauge anymore which was the only part showing they had literally just plopped the screen and right over this part because we can translate the signal from the factory sending unit into this screen and have a fuel display there. But here is this program showing us everything he did. that is really really fun. Cool! How long how long did this take you? This was, uh, probably 15 to 20 hours.

It was a lot of drawing and you know, measuring. Getting the idea? Um, the hardest part was probably getting this, um, piece here this. uh because the curves are very inconsistent and as you can see, it kind of slopes out a little bit. So my co-worker had this idea.

Um, so what I did was I taped off the inside and filled the entire inner piece with plaster. So this is a plaster piece and then um, once it dried I popped it out, put it flat on a piece of paper and then just traced along the outside and with that I was able to take a picture of the piece of paper and then put the picture in CAD and then get that shape which was extremely difficult to try and you know, get as is. So with the mold, I was able to wow. That's amazing man.

Yeah no this looks so good. I Can't wait to transfer it over into a black one that's not all cut up too. Exactly. It's just so much cleaner than what we had before.

Yeah! I Love it. I'm glad that you're uh, happy with how it turned out? Yeah, definitely. And then you, uh, you have the stand up for those little pieces at Oh there we go. Oh and then these are our little spacers.

Awesome! We lost these on the trip and he took a few measurements there on top of the valve cover. and now we have a couple of spacers. So thank you so much for that. Absolutely Yeah! Thank you so much.

Yeah, the opportunity to do this. Thank you man! I Appreciate it, appreciate it. Awesome! Um, it was a pleasure to be able to get to make this part well I Can't wait to take it for a blast once. Well now at this point we need to finish.

Yeah Well yeah, now we need to fix the the fuel leak. We can't take you for a ride I Wanted to take you out for a spin but it might be slightly dangerous at the moment. But thanks again man! Absolutely yeah. All right.

So here's what we found. We pulled up the back seat where the fuel sending unit is and we have a ton of fuel and a few Mercedes models suffered a similar fate. Oh, but this is totally loose. Okay, there was a recall on a bunch of cars for this top hat and they would just replace.
the whole fuel sending unit had a bad seal. We just tightened that cap up and the fuel leak is fixed so we're gonna burn out the gas. Uh, then replace the seal. Did you guys notice when we were underneath here what was missing? It just dawned on me because it's just totally gone.

I Wasn't thinking about it. There is no sway bar. There are no sway bar links. There is absolutely nothing other than the spot for it.

No bracket. Yeah, there's no brackets. There's nothing. just yeah.

Okay, so that is part of the reason why this thing handles so so poorly. And I think they took the sway bar link and literally built it into the shifter. So we've ordered a new master cylinder for the clutch. Uh, so while we're waiting for that to come in, let's do some brake pads.

All right guys. So this rotor is bad. We obviously know that the brake pads went low on our trip back. We're just slapping pads on it.

This is not a good thing to do. This is bad. Bad Bad Bad Bad bad. But we are going to be replacing these brakes with the C55 or the C230 uh brembos I believe they are and uh with the bigger rotors and stuff and also I don't I Don't know what we're gonna have to do with the whole sway bar situation.

so we're just we're gonna pad slap just so we can be kind of safe. testing I'm not doing anything crazy. Don't do this at home I Know you're not a huge fan of swaps, but if you had to swap anything, what would it be? Oh, I've always wanted to do a DeLorean uh with a Grand National engine I think that'd be cool that came with a horrible six cylinder. We'll put a good six cylinder in it and I've always wanted a DeLorean as well.

So I if I'm Gonna Do a Swap and put all that time and effort into a crazy swap, you know that that's yeah. that guy's old versus new. So this one didn't get down to the metal so we didn't grind up the road around this one. It's just heavily heavily pitted.

Not good rotors, but good enough for what we're doing. There's no pulsation, there's no yeah, it's weird, it just kind of makes a little grinding noise. But these are like 18. so whatever.

Like I'm not cleaning anything I Just this is the definition of a pad slab. not the best one. The slides are actually good. Still cool all right.

We didn't get a new wear indicator, but it won't tell us on the dash because we don't have a factory Dash anymore so we don't have to worry about that. Plus was it already on? Uh, it was there. but no the we don't know if we have a totally after right? Hey watch Sarah goes here by the way I Just showed up. Well welcome to the middle of a Honda Mercedes video.

hey man! I'm excited about this. This looks cool. Yeah John's in town. we're gonna film some videos together.
Um, he's got the Caprice right now it says rental car which was his rental car like two years ago when he came in with the video. same Coldplay CD still in it? Yeah, it's the only it was. Yeah, it's been in the car since I bought it. that's how much you use it.

Yeah. so I don't know if we get this thing working properly and you want to borrow this bad boy. It is a blast. This This could be really fun.

400 wheel horsepower, notchy transmission. almost like an aerial atom. All right guys, we got our new master in so we're gonna install this. It was only like 82 bucks and let's hope that this fixes the notchiness here and a good test to kind of eliminate the possibility that it's a bad transmission and issues with synchros and whatnot is simply to turn the engine off.

And if you don't have the notchiness, that could definitely be a clutch that's not fully releasing. So this feels great. we can slam it. Whoops.

It doesn't have a blow off valve yet, so that's was that was fake. you forgot. Oh yeah, it does more of a shoe. So anyway, that's good.

That's good. That's a good sign that it's possibly not releasing all the way. So let's get this part in all right guys. So here is our Master Uh, definitely Junkyard Parts I Got the pedal assembly and the master from the junkyard.

She looks a little crusty. What are we? Uh, what are we testing out here? John Well I saw it has that Honda at ECU and if it has a K-pro in it like my atom, we can talk to it on the phone. You see the Oh with an app. I got the app open.

it's not connected. but I need ignition? Okay, all right, so we got the Honda app here. Ignition is on. Should I start it.

That's searching right now, right? Yeah. I assume it'll connect even without starting. Oh started yo. Hey yes, look at that.

Yes, this is awesome. Pretty impressive for this swap. Yeah. I like it.

Oh dude, that's so so you should have pages of data from. There's IAT coolant temp. but is this an injector duration? Yeah, it's awesome. Dude is our coolant temperature? It's not.

It's not. It's not hooked up right? So that must be like, uh, like the default value there, right? This is Huge. Wait a minute. So like you kind of don't even need the screen, you can just mount an iPad on the deck.

yeah, like a like a 100 tablet or whatever and then you have a lot of cool stuff going on. That's crazy. I mean we're still going to use the screen. It does use can here, so that's kind of cool.

so we can hook up everything that we can see in the Hondata that's also to the screen. Yeah, yeah, that's nice. So yeah, I like it. It's upside down right now.

Can we get the Honda data through a little cycle through a side gauge? I'm sure. dude, it's a Honda Yeah, We can have like 20 gauges in this interior. Anything you want? Everything we want to see it all I need to know my injector pulse width at all times. The only person with an analog gauge that shows.
Okay, so this required some tools and uh, it's a kind of a pain in the butt. I'm not gonna lie, it was impossible to film anything in these tight quarters. It's just it's insane I was on my back with my head jammed in here somewhere. But anyway, there is our new master.

We just gotta Bleed It Out and hope it fixes stuff. So right now it feels horrible. All right. John I'm leaders open all right there we go.

We're getting some fluid flow all right and close. All right there we go. Powertune Digital is on. We are all bled out.

There we go. We got our Aventador cluster going on. All right here we go Moment of Truth here people I Got the clutch pedal pushed in. Ah okay, that's really nice.

Okay, let's go test this. This might be fixed. It seems better, right? Yeah, it seems really nice. we got this engine running perfectly, so we fixed that.

Hopefully we fix the transmission. We fix an engine and a transmission in this video yet with just a master cylinder basically yes and cleaning of a circuit board. Wow. All right, let's do this.

I'm in Reverse Like that was so easy. I Don't have to push it, You don't have to push. Ah, don't hit me clips. It's so close.

there's like an eighth of an inch in between my Honda Mercedes door and the Eclipse was it getting into? Power Oh yeah, you are here. Oh yeah, oh yeah, it doesn't feel naughty at all. Awesome! I I Think we need a better spring though for the the clutch pedal return. Uh so obviously it returns with the hydraulic pressure.

Yeah uh. pushing back but there is an assist spring in there and I think that might be weak and while we were bleeding it I was using my hand and I could just pop it forward and back as fast as I could. just kind of almost. you know, lightly punching it.

So yeah, it doesn't return. Yeah. I mean it does now with with some pressure foreign, it's a Chevy Colorado transmission. I think that's pretty much it.

Like it's just kind of hard to bang gears, but it's way better. You're in race mode so let's let's Oh yeah, time for some pricing. Oh that's awesome. It's such a fun car.

What do we have here? I mean do we need to have a REV off right now? Foreign. A couple of my friends stopped by I haven't seen this yet but it's a supercharged S2000 I Kind of want the transmission out of this guy I'm not gonna lie. Um, but this is better. It is a Chevy Colorado transmission it is Shifting better.

I Do think we can make some more Improvement in Sonic though. so we're gonna look into some more stuff. We have a lot of little tiny things uh to fix on it. Still a lot of wiring type of stuff to do and uh, little odds and ends.

But anyway, let's uh, rap battle I Never thought this would be on my channel. a Honda rev battle with the Mercedes and that this is weird. One more one more I Gotta say I I like the throaty exhaust of the Miranda I just I think I might like under the hood on the S2000 though that sounds really good. This is crazy.
We need a woosh Yeah, all right guys. So we started off with a Miranda Mercedes Mercedes Honda Cities Honda Sadies Uh, that didn't start well. it didn't start for us for like a week and then it ran horribly bad. We fixed that with the computer.

It seems to be fine. Uh, John Was able to get our screen to boot up like instantly. It would take forever to do That so that's fixed. Uh, the clutch is much better I'd still like it to shift.

you know, a lot easier. but I don't know. we'll play around with that. Um, and a lot of little odds and ends to sort this weird weird car out.

but it is running really well. It's a ton of fun. Uh, and in the next one, we're just gonna continue on fixing stuff. and there's our fan.

Oh and our coolant gauge work. So in the Reveal video a lot of you guys pointed out that we were running like 350 degrees. It was actually reading in Celsius but that's what it translated to is that the case. It's at 170 degrees that works just from like booty screen up so that's good.

Uh What else your app works. Oh yeah, we got the amp now so we are solid. all right. and we do rap battles now with Honda So with technical Honda things, look at that.

I'm out. Yeah right. John's leaving now. So with that I Hope you guys really enjoyed this video.

If you did, give it a big thumbs up, share the video with your friends. subscribe if you haven't already. Most importantly, have an awesome day! I'll see all of you in the next video. Awesome Yeah! Check.

Check testing. What do I say for this and I haven't filmed in so long I have no idea what I'm doing Miranda or wait, what are we calling this thing? Go subscribe to the check. Go subscribe. I'll have a really good deal on a meal plan if you wait a minute because it didn't because we as soon as all right.

so we get all right. So we got our Max pluck something out of the video once we get this clean. Max is good at stuff. he's a Plucky chat.

thank you thank you.

Use a swaged tube and rod ends to rebuild that shifter and build in some adjust-ability and stiffness into it, And I found a new shifter for it as well… NV5600 6 Speed Short Throw Shifter Kit, NV5600-ST google that and it should pop up…The one I found was from Allstate Gear for $125.77
