I Love E55s and I also love station wagons. So a couple of years ago I bought this I bought my E55 wagon out of state for 18 000 with a hundred and forty five thousand miles and naturally it needed some work. I then brought it back to Chicago and immediately got to work sorting out all of the mechanical issues and after that I went a little nuts on a cosmetic restoration, repainting any Rock chipped panels, installing new wheels and we topped it off with a full paint correction from my guys at Chicago Auto Pros I also lowered the wagon and to me it was perfect except for one thing I wanted I mean I needed more power to fix that I installed a gigantic Whipple supercharger from Vrp and long tube headers and on a base two. this wagon ripped but you know how this goes.

we always want I mean need more. My next stop was Fluid Motor Union in Naperville Illinois These guys do the best custom exhaust work I've ever seen like on my old C63 and they are Wizards at fine-tuning the specific exhaust note that you want I wanted an exhaust that founded good under load but nothing too crazy loud at idle and cruising as I drive the family around in the wagon often and an exhaust that flowed well even with adding catalytic converters because I'm about to add a wagon load of more horsepower to my E55 in preparation for a trip to the racing capital of the world. Alright, so this is my first time hearing the new exhaust cold start there. She is that classic E55 sound.

So we're running the factory Mufflers but without the resonator and the additional high flow cat. So this is exactly what I wanted I wanted it to sound basically stock. Yes, this is so good. Dude, that is what I was talking about.

That's perfect. A little more refined than what you had on there. Um, the cat's quieted down and then the X-pipe The way we do the x-pipe kind of cleans it up a little bit. I Can't wait to get this thing on the road and hear this car under load with the new exhaust.

Um, but before we get to that, we have to add a lot more horsepower. Sitting not too far away from where they're getting installed our dual fuel pumps from Vrp, so this is going to give us the additional fuel we need to make as much power as possible from our Whipple supercharged M113k engine. now. Fortunately, these fuel pumps live under the seats which is great so we don't have to drop the tank or anything like that.

And there's two access panels on these cars. so we'll pull this guy up. So we have one access panel right here and one right here. and a footprint right here.

And at 146 000 miles, this might be the original fuel pump. so we just have one connector to take off. Okay, easier said than done. There we go.

How is this connector? These things have an issue where they burn up. Yeah, we caught this one at a great time. It's a little toasty, but we can definitely clean that up. There is a Mercedes tool for this that I don't have with me.

so we're going DIY style here. All right there we go. I Only have about a quarter tank of fuel in here, so that's good. Before we pull the sender out, we're gonna vacuum.
We don't want any dirt getting inside so we'll give this a nice little clean. Now we can safely pull this up. We'll unclip this Top Hat here. Like that.

This is the fuel line that connects to the other side of the tank. So we want to unclip that and then two connectors. one here and that one right there. Cool.

All right. I'll remove these little Clips here. Don't lose them or drop them in the gas tank and then these lines will pop off. Don't fall.

Please don't fall. Please don't fall. Oh yeah, there we go. Now we are disconnected.

Now This car has a dual fuel pump system from the factory. It's gigantic so how does that come out of this hole? Well, it's got to be taken apart. Undo this clip here. There we go.

Then we can slide this out and we're basically taking apart the fuel sending unit inside of the tank. It's a lot of fun. This is. with a quarter tank of fuel, we don't even have that much.

Okay, let's see if we can do it. I Like taking them out this way so we can kind of dump the fuel in there. There's one. okay, there's the other one there.

We'll drop the fuel right back in. All right. it's cool, all right. Factory Fuel pumps are coming out now.

The sender unit on here is good. The buckets are good, the stuff is really expensive. Um, but the reason the connector can melt is because these pumps are starting to go bad. They're drawing a lot of current, a lot of heat, so this was a really good time to replace them.

And there was a recall on these, but I Got the car too late for that and it had expired. When these things start burning up, it's usually the top hat that takes most of the abuse. You can see these pins, everything is melted around them and these are the two power connectors for the two fuel pumps from the factory. so it's nice we're replacing this.

so we need to remove these little white things. so I've undone the clamp, but these are still crimped on. We're going to do a little experiment here using hot water and then very carefully without dumping a bunch of hot water in my tank. Put in this line inside of the hot water and my hands are kind of burning.

but you know, Love of the Game here we're gonna warm this up. Okay, my hand is basically on fire. Let's get their water out and we'll see if this comes off. Oh, it's getting there.

It's getting there. These don't move at all without heating them up a little bit. But obviously we can't use fire holding this thing in the hot water. It should work.

Water and fuel? No good. So you got to be careful doing this all right. Here's the ticket right here. We got this thing fully submerged.

Come on baby. Heat that plastic up all right. We got it sweets and this is still intact. You don't want to slice this with a razor.
We still need this all right. So now to install this: I'm just gonna make it two pieces again. This guy's gonna go in first. All right, it's gonna be hard to see, but I'll straighten this guy out in there, put it back together and we can clip in the lines.

I've reassembled the two sides. Now we can just snap in our feed lines. There we go. All right.

let's hook these guys in here. We're almost done. We're still going to use the factory y piece. this is for the fuel return.

Clip that on there. All right. I've got our seal lubricated, ready to go back and then you just want to run your fingers all the way around it, make sure it's seated properly. There we go, nice, nice, and then we'll put our big plastic nut back on.

Couple love Taps and we're just going to clean off some of the melted plastic here from that. Old Top Hat These pins look great though. all the wiring, everything is intact. Okay, let's see if it fires up.

I'll prime it a few times. Perfect. No leaks. We are good.

Hopefully the rest of the project goes as easily as the dual fuel pumps. We still have injectors a tune. We have to dyno this thing and we only have two days to do it because I was invited to breakfast at the Brickyard. So this is at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

They said I could bring any one of my cars and take one lap around the track and I chose the E55 AMG wagon to do this. So we have to finish the car in two days and then drive it four hours to Indianapolis and hope that nothing breaks and everything goes perfectly with all these installs. But in case everything doesn't go perfectly on the drive down or the trip back up, you know what? I Bring on all of my road trips, we have the X8 Apex portable tire inflator from Fantic, the T8 Max Jumper this thing is a beast and I Bring this on a lot of trips as well, especially when I'm going camping. This is the Evo 300 portable power station.

This guy's got nine AC and DC Outlets. It charges quickly from a normal wall plug and you can get an optional solar panel and this is a pass-through system so that means you can charge your device while your Evo 300 gets charged by the Sun. The 8X tire inflator is an absolute Workhorse and can fill car tires, bike tires, balls and more and it fits just about anywhere in your car. It's great for emergencies with a bright LED light and has saved me on numerous occasions.

So this guy is losing air. Let's pump it back up. You know we'll go to 40 this time. All right, 40 PSI That just takes about one minute and we're good.

This tire inflator can be the difference between needing to call a tow truck and just filling up your tire and continuing on with your trip. The T8 Max jumper is a beast. It's also very portable. it has bright LED lights.

it can charge multiple devices, but most importantly, it can jumpstart totally dead batteries even on vehicles with large engines like my Ml55, and you can use this over and over again on one charge. The rear-facing seat in the E55 is pretty small, but the sail that Fantic is having right now is massive, so it's for Memorial Day weekend. It's very, very limited time and quantity. Last time all this stuff sold out within a few days and this sale is even better.
It's their three year anniversary so I'm going to drop some links down below and the coupon codes. You guys are going to save a ton of money on these. and when you go to the Amazon links, you have to check the box and then apply the code at checkout. So check out those links and coupon codes down below.

Now that we have a lot more fuel pump, we need a lot more injectors. so we have 1050 CC fuel injectors for the E55 First step is removing our intakes. All right there we go to get the fuel rails out. We need to remove these upper plenums and we'll pop this y off to gain access to our clamp back here.

We'll just loosen up this top clamp, pull these guys out. These are all pretty much different lengths. We'll just kind of keep them in order and now I should pop it right out. nice and easy.

We'll get this side out as well. All right now we can get to this rail. Let's disconnect this 17 mil and we'll probably get a little bit of fuel that dribbles out just a little. No biggie.

The car's currently tuned on 93, but we are going to install an E85 flex fuel kit like like right now. Going back to my green alien gloves here, but we need to add an ethanol sensor. so we have an adapter, a Barb adapter that screws into our Factory line and then one more Barb adapter for the rail. Nice.

snug this guy up before I went any further. I Just wanted to make sure that was all going to fit. Now we can actually remove the rail foreign. With all the connectors disconnected, we can pull up on these injectors in the rail.

Come on Now there we go. Kind of give them a little little shimmy, you got to be firm yet gentle with your Rail and it'll come right out and it'll treat you, treat you real nice. There we go. So these are 630 CC fuel injectors.

They're practically brand new. Uh, these have maybe like a thousand miles on them and sure I'll use them on something I'm just pulling the little metal connectors right now and the injectors just pull out. I Have a little bit of white lithium grease here for the O-ring so I'll get this on both sides. And you guys have seen me do injectors quite a few dozen times on this channel.

We've had many of them fail and stick open and hydrolock engines and all sorts of bad stuff. There we go Clips on. but these injectors were doing for more power. All right.

OJ's going back in with our fuel rail and our new injectors. There we go. PCB gets in the way. All right.
We're good all right now. We just push down and just make sure you feel the O-ring kind of sliding in there. You should be good and we'll tighten up these bolts. Foreign injectors are in.

Let's finish up this flex fuel kit. We'll get the tune in here and we gotta fire it up. and then we're running low on fuel. which is good right now.

I Need to determine which pin on the factory injector connector is power. The other lead on my multimeter is grounded already. Let's see there we go. It's about 12 volts so we know that's the power and this is an adapter connector.

So now I know that the power wire from the harness for the ethanol kit is here. so we'll do a little plus sign. There we go. Now we have a little bit of a spaghetti Bowl to install under the hood there and right now I have to do a lot of d-pinning But let me show you what the final result will be on one of the connectors.

one of the eight. Okay, I got a lot of work to do so we put our little positive sign right there. so now we need to just click this pin in. Just like that that's red for power and the other one.

Both of these are clipped in I've installed the ethanol sensor and we have it running to the rail and I've removed this Factory fuel line. So I installed the adapter right there. This is the feed to the rail from the tank. Now we're going to use a tubing Bender to bend this towards the ethanol sensor just for a cleaner install.

Yeah, okay, all right, it's a little little closer. So then what we've created is an adapter. So this is going to plug into the factory injector harness and then this is going to plug in to the aftermarket fuel injector and then this large connector plugs into our flex fuel module. and then this guy will plug into our ethanol sensor.

And then what the flex fuel module does is it intercepts that signal from the factory injector harness. It takes that it reads the ethanol blend from the sensor and then it multiplies that. It increases the injector pulse width because with E85 or any blend of ethanol, you need more fuel. So the factory computer is going to be tuned on 93 octane.

It's not going to know of any of this. This is all going to be done directly to the injector. and because we know exactly how much more fuel an engine needs, depending on how much ethanol you're running, the calculation will be precise. Our AFR or our Lambda Lambda Lambda will be proper.

And and yeah, just works. These have been around for a little while. I Ran one on my C63 and I'm super excited to put it on here because the E85 has a lot more octane so we can run more boost, more timing, make more power because that's what you need in a seven passenger family station wagon. I'm not gonna lie, it's a little hard to hide all of these wires, but you definitely just don't want them draped all over your engine like this.
It doesn't look pretty, but luckily Mercedes-Benz Knew that we were going to install an E85 Flex Fuel kit, so they gave us this nice piece of plastic to drill a hole through to run our wires. I'm gonna run this large connector. it's through here now and we're going to bring all of this in here as well. Just like that.

I'm gonna attempt to run this under the blower and use these little claws here. This could make for a really clean install if we can get these through. Come on, come on. we got nice All right.

Oh, this is gonna be so good. That's the factory one and we can loop around. plug this guy in that is looking clean. Everything's gonna get hidden under the blower.

Sweet. All right. So about two tedious hours later and I have all of the wiring and everything complete on the Flex Fuel kit. So here is the sensor and you really can't see any.

Aftermarket Wiring Here those are the factory injector connectors and same thing on this side. Nice and clean. Everything is tucked away in the channel underneath these intake ports. and here's that big mess of wiring going through.

and the module is right underneath here next to the auxiliary battery so you don't even see it. It's going to be even more hidden once we get our intake tubes back on. so let's do that because we're almost ready to fire this thing up. We just have to zip in the tune going back together with the AMG plenums.

There we go. Do it. So I Speak Italian But I don't speak car Italian I Learned as a child. so if there are any Italians out there watching, how do you say plenum? how do you say intake for that matter? I Always start these by hand first with everything wrapped up under the hood.

OJ is zipping in our tomb file right now so it is writing the ECU and this is a tune specific for our Whipple Supercharged E55 With the 1050cc injectors, 92 millimeter, Hellcat throttle body, long tube headers, and everything else I have done to this car, but it's still utilizing the factory engine. Because the M113k is legendary, it can hold a ton of power. I Don't know why I'm saying this stuff right now I'm going to knock on my car now because we're going to be ripping this thing on the dyno tomorrow and crossing fingers that it makes good power. but it also yeah.

I Get nervous. You get nervous with adding a bunch of boosts that things can go all right. So all the injectors are connected. throttle body is connected that is torqued clamps good.

We can start this without the intake tubes because it is speed density don't mass airflow sensor OJ Do the honors all right. Excellence Seems to run perfectly. So this is running with the flex fuel module right now. Obviously it's still on 93, but this is with the larger injectors.

and let's see, air fuel is in the ballpark. Bounce around a little cold start. no biggie, you know. I got to switch that thing to Lambda especially now that we're on.
E85 Sun is setting the intakes are on. Everything is buttoned up. Yeah, this thing's dirty. All right here.

We go here, we go now. Let's see how this thing feels a little bit off idle. Yeah, it's good. It's smooth.

good air fuel, good ships. We have the TCU tuned done so we're in agility mode. Feels good? Yeah. I See, it's uh, that mid takeoff is what you want if you switch everything over.

So I'm not super worried about anything right now so Dino's tomorrow morning. but I'm gonna put like 100 miles on this before then. um I live kind of far from OJ's shop. The E55 wagon is all set up on the dyno and this from here looks really familiar.

Some of my very first Dino videos were my original 2003 E55 it was a sedan uh, but it was black as well. So that was before OJ built the Dino Room here. 456 wheel horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque I think OJ and I generally still look the same. This was like five years ago or something.

I got a little bit more gray hair. so the flex fuel kit from Vrp has an amp so right now we just have 93 octane. it's 10 ethanol. That's what the fuel is around here.

It's just idling so one percent duty cycle. but this thing's got some pretty cool stuff you can mess around with. Driving modes: Economy Dynamic Sport So this is what it says these modes do. It defaults to economy.

so if we need to make changes I'm just going to do it in the tune now. This is something I may mess with when it gets colder, but this does have different startup modes for cold start enrichment because E85 cars are a little bit more difficult to start when it gets cold, so right now it's starting okay. so we'll leave this alone. All right here we go here we go.

I'm always nervous for the first run in the dyno. We probably won't go that crazy right now, just kind of seeing where things are. It sounds good I Love that line. First run with the bass tune uh, 439 wheel horsepower and I know I've given you guys this morning a bunch of times here at Fluids Dyno but it is a loaded Dino it's similar to a Mustang dyno.

it reads a lot lower than a Dyno jet. Um, so to give you some reference, a totally stock 707 crank horsepower Hellcat does about 490 on this Dyno it really soaks up the power and my 2003 E55 with the factory blower, but literally every single bolt-on you could ever imagine the most we got out of it was about 450 wheel horsepower. We're going for another run with basically no cooldown right now. Uh, the cooling system on this for the intercooler is pretty good and this blower is more efficient, but we just we didn't bring that all the way up in RPM another run.

another run. did that spin? the tires felt like it hit some sort of limiter but there's no light on. That was 5500.. we're having an issue with some kind of limiter.

It's just shutting the car down way early in the RPM it's making like 450 horse and just completely shutting down on us so not really sure what that is right now. Haven't switched it to Lambda yet guys, but air fuel is going really rich as soon as he hits it I can smell the tires. We're gonna try it in fourth gear now and it's running way way too rich. We're supposed to be like in the 11s for AFR it's going down into the nines.
Richer is safer, but too rich can be dangerous and it'll definitely reduce your power. We took the car off the dyno, it just kept on cutting out around 5000. RPM So I was making like 450 wheel at 5000 RPM it still had a ton of RPM Um yeah, I Have a feeling it would make a lot more than that, but we don't know why it's cutting out. Yeah, it just did it right there, didn't it? Yeah, okay, it just cuts out.

What was that? like? 53 or something like yeah, right right before it's got some kind of weird load limit thing that we can't figure out right now. It's setting, no trouble codes whatsoever. It's fast. It sounds good too.

Yep, right there. about five Five thousand. RPM It's done. Gosh, what a shame.

Other than that, it's clean, all right guys. Just in case we have removed the air filters, we're just gonna run it like this in case that's causing a restriction. You never know. Okay, well, with the intake removed, it lets us pull it.

So far. Okay, another 211. all right. I Just spoke with Vrp and he had mentioned that it is possible that the air filters are a restriction.

so he sells these air intake kits as more of a cosmetic mod. They look really cool, but he said at this level those filters might be an issue. So obviously a bit of a hot air intake. I Understand that, but we're doing this for testing purposes and honestly, with the hood open, it doesn't really matter.

Whoa. Okay, yeah, that was an air filter restriction. 522 wheel horsepower Guys, you gotta understand this. Dino The difference between this one and a Dyno jet on some cars is over 100 wheel horsepower.

522 is insane. That's roughly about 750 crank horsepower. The Hellcats over and over again stock ones tested and proven do 490 on this. Dyno All right, it's E85 time guys.

we're putting five gallons in. the 85 is very low on 93 at this point. so this should be I Don't know, Probably E60 ish. Now it's 8 o'clock at night and we don't have access to the tuner.

Uh, so we're not going to be able to tune for the E85 which would mean more timing running about 14 ish PSI of boost and I could totally raise that. but this is a legit three car I'd rather have the power be down a little bit. but Ultra Safe and reliable. And so now with the E85 with higher octane and everything, we're going to be really, really good.

All right, we just fired it back up. Nine percent ethanol. this should go up. We didn't have that much 93 in there.
We've been letting it run for just a couple of minutes and it's burned up all the fuel in the rail so we're at 39 ethanol 40. here we go. it's moving up all right. Well, we had a very fortunate mishap on the dyno I was moving the fan and broke this off, but we had already ordered a new one a few days ago because this tank looks like it's about to blow up.

This happens after so many years. So yeah, now we just gotta swap it here. I just replaced the tank but they don't come with the AMG sticker or this one one here. So later I'm going to carefully remove these I don't think they make them anymore and I really like to keep my Mercedes all.

Mercedes First run: 52 ethanol. That's nothing for these big injectors. that's awesome. That second run he let out a little early, but a solid roughly 12 horsepower gain with just a little bit of ethanol.

Foreign 543 wheel horsepower AFR was a little bit all over the place for the most part. it was in the 11s, but then it got into the mid-12s and then kind of dipped way down into the 11s. I Think it hit tens too, so it definitely needs a little bit of tweaking. but oh my gosh, this is insane power.

This is about a hundred more wheel horsepower on the same Dyno as my other E55 After that last run, we're gonna call it a day right there. I Don't think it's going to make any more power unless we make adjustments to the tune and quite honestly, that is awesome. Awesome power on this. Dino So just a little recap.

We came in with 428 horsepower with the air filters on a 93 gained a bunch and then it just kept on going up and up and up to this. so this is awesome. It's about 10 o'clock at night, we are done I'm about to hop in my other wagon and go home, but we leave tomorrow. Just have a couple little wrap up things to do.

We might figure out some kind of temporary intake so that we can rip it on the track when we make it to Indianapolis Um, but that's it. I mean the car is is done. All we have to do is figure out uh, the intake which obviously OJ has an excellent fabrication team so that won't be an issue and then if we want to tweak the tune a little bit later, we could for more power. But like I said, I'm really happy with this.

It's super reliable, it's still on the stock engine so we don't want to go too crazy and I'm I'm very, very content with my E55 wagon. So anyway, uh OJ and I will see you in the morning. it's the next day. I'm back at Fluid and there's the E55 Oh yeah, it cleaned up for me.

I'm actually driving my wife's supercharged Escalade because she said there's a brake issue and a rattle. Uh, so I gave her the CTS-V wagon, put all the kids seats in there and it you know she likes it. My wife actually had that generation CTS a six cylinder before we had kids so it's all too familiar for Uh, OJ said that he did something with the intake. just kind of temporary so we still have all of our power.
It's not finalized but right here. Let me show you so yeah, these canisters are now empty. Uh, so we left all of that and just went with kind of an open element. So yes I know is a little bit of a hot air intake.

Normally the air comes from here, but as I've shown you guys on the dyno and talked about a million times, Uh, with a car with a good intercooler system like this car has, it doesn't make that big of a difference. but either way when we get back fluid's gonna fabricate something cool at some point. But look at this guy. I Love this wagon.

It's so perfect. We did the crazy 40 50 hour paint correction. There's a ton of ppf on this car. it's all protected.

The Stance is absolutely perfect. It makes insane power. It is ready to hit the road we just gotta find. OJ OJ's here and he's lifting weights because that's what OJ does I'm sorry Alex it's gonna come with me though.

That's okay. we'll have all the traction in the world. What is in there? Pennies? Pennies? Pennies! Yeah! so I uh this is filled with pennies. It's filled with pennies.

Oh my gosh, this is insane. What does that weigh? It's about a it's about 120 pounds. So now if you haven't noticed OJ works out every once in a while and he's doing it. He's in the middle of a competition.

Uh, right now. So he has to literally work out during our trip. So true dedication not only to the cars but to Fitness you ready? that pulls pretty good. Uh yeah dude, this thing is wicked okay.

I Know a lot of you guys have been asking me what's faster my CTS-V wagon or this and I'm gonna say this now I would say this, you just eat that out just just a bit just a bit. Well that one did my my wagon. my other wagon did 550 wheel on like a Dyno jet. Okay so this thing does the same power on your Dyno so it's probably got like realistically, at least a hundred I'd Imagine this be a little heavier.

yeah this is heavier yeah I agree. I agree. Um, but this shifts good, so does so does the V and wow, does this just it puts a smile on your face. It's uh, it's a little smoother now too.

Yeah yeah, right. Seven Air fuel is looking good all the way up with 80 . we saw those power gains and that was with no tuning. so we're gonna well.

I Guess we're heading out to Corn country so that's right, we're going. B85 shouldn't be as hard to find. That's right Indiana Illinois knock on wood say what you want about Indiana and Illinois but we got corn fuel. The Challenger behind me is Zion eye in the wagon and of course he has the yellow little blocker things in the front bumper that they leave on forever.

You got to keep them on. You got to keep those on right the guards. They should make it an option to paint them the color. I'm surprised selling them as an aftermarket modification.

550 Mustang In front of us that is revving. it's got really loud exhaust. It's got a diffuser. It's got a diffuser.
There it is. I don't think he knows OJ Do you know what's going on here? Always giving us more. He could have jumped out of there just doing Mustang things. Oh look at this guy's recording.

he's recording. Oh come on. oh he's got. he's pulled up by him.

he pulled up by YouTube Yeah all right Mustang guys he took off. he got scared. he doesn't know about the German muscle. All right guys.

I think that I am motivated now to start working out again so because of OJ every time I hang out with OJ I'm like darn it I Gotta do something. So we stopped at the gas station. I think OJ would be proud but I got pistachios. thick cut bacon with 11 ribs protein I already ate one but I got it's four boiled eggs.

Oh you're doing like whole dinner right now I'm doing a whole day. this is 25 at the gas station. it's ridiculous. Another bag of pistachios and then I got I think these were kind of expensive I got these like little drinks.

There you go and it's a raspberry green tea. Yeah I'm in the driver's seat so I I could use a little caffeine. All right. So we're splitting some some drinks I Don't know guys.

I think I might turn over a new leaf and maybe you know what I'm saying we'll We'll see. We'll see what we can do this weekend. Yeah, why are you lifting up those pennies? We're in Indiana 345 a gallon for some corn 51-83 ethanol. Let's hope for that 83 we want as much as possible.

We got the injectors, we got the fuel pumps. We got it all. And what other boosted cars do I have that run E85 my 335i would run like E40 that was the most I could do on that one I Don't know guys. I'm super tired right now I can't even think about my own cars.

What other booster cars that ever on? E85 I don't think I don't think methanol on my Trans Am injection. That's it. No I don't run E85 on anything else I've just run it on naturally aspirated cars that doesn't really do much. This is so cool.

Whipple Wagon Uh, we're a couple hundred miles into the trip. Everything looks good. It's got all of its power. no leaks, belts good.

all right. We gotta check engine light people, huh? Might have to scan that. It started kind of shaking on us too. All right, Diagnostic trouble codes Read codes.

please don't be anything important. The car still seems to be running okay as right after we filled it with the 85. Airfield is good right now. 485 again.

I Haven't changed the Lambda yet. We ran out of time. Idle control system malfunction. Yeah, we've seen this before.

I Think there's something going on. Maybe with the throttle body or an air leak or something that comes up like every couple of months or something. It's very weird. All right, we're just going to clear this out.

Are you sure? Yeah, I'm sure. I Guess we'll fix my car. Oh, we're gonna reset this. We did do an oil change before the trip too.
All right, here we go. No check engine light, no service due. There's a possibility that because we were messing with the intake and kind of rigged something up, that maybe there's some kind of little leak here. So no big deal.

That'll all get fixed when we do the new intake. More importantly, let's get some. Smoothie King All right. I've never had Smoothie King before, so I went with the 40 ounce uh, peanut butter protein chocolate Cheers Cheers All right, it's getting dark.

all right. Let's do a little rip here with the 85. it's fun! I Love E55s! I think I have more videos on E55s that I've owned than any other car because I've had three of them. Two wagons, one sedan.

Honestly, that's kind of like where my channel started Like that's what brought you over to me first. I mean wasn't it the? uh, the 211? Yes yes yes yes yeah we Dino did and that's how we met uh and OJ and I've been good friends for like five years now. He's been around since the beginning of YouTube What is that? It's just loud. It's a Ford Fiesta it's just loud.

Yeah I think you're right. like 30 000 subscribers when we first came over and like for me that was like that was that was a huge Channel You know like I never I would never have been I never imagined like I remember when I hit 60 and I was like 60 people are watching me. That's like that's enough people to like. You can fill it up right.

restaurant or something I don't know it's getting dark. Uh, we had the check engine light. that's good. Everything else runs good uh, smoothies, glass so hopefully nothing else happens for the rest of the ride.

And I can see you tomorrow where we're meeting up with Ed bullion. uh a few other people might see some other Youtubers with some really cool cars and we're gonna meet them on the track in a station wagon. it's the next morning I don't want to do it but I gotta do it and I switched to Lambda it's a good day I Love Lambda was this thing like disinfecting the car with steam? It's like the movie Outbreak where they think they got the virus. So they step in that little thing and it steamed you like this is the nicest.

Touchless Car Wash I've ever been to look at this. It's a waterfall of purple. It's beautiful All right. We're pulling up to meet our crew here.

Let's see what they all. Oh no way. Yeah, it is him. Okay, there's a Mercedes wagon.

Nice. that's a Ute. No this is the car Travis was talking about Travis hey am I gonna be on the track with this thing or what world's most expensive Chevy Lumina It's beautiful. It was.

uh, last time it's been on the track is 1994. the track is a little wet. We're hoping that that we're allowed on the track we're supposed to be I don't have an email saying we're not okay. So uh, and we're not supposed to be there for 15 minutes and Arnie told me you're into Utes Yeah, is that yours? That's mine? No.
I've never seen one of these in person. Jared Needed a car to drive so uh, this is a 2009. uh Holden Ute but it is. Left Hand Drive Whoa.

So okay. so this was converted from a car from here one less. Pontiac G8 Okay, all right. well hey, it's called red Hot Interior.

That's how it would have came Factory from Australia that is the only left-hand Drive Red Hot interior in the world. Um, please let me know if you're gonna sell this. Yeah, it's uh I go and get mulch in it. So I mean I brought another guy with me so like if you do want to sell it, we can.

Just you know we could do this all right. I'll let you down all right we got Georgia plates Ed I Now know what you were bringing to this event I Thought it was going to be a Lambo it was going to be a Lambo but my back wasn't up for it today so you went with the other Italian Italian flavor there. Oh yes. beautiful, beautiful and I think the last time I saw yours was I was stuck it in the back of it Amelia That's right, that's when I first bought it in Florida it's a little different now I have to give you a ride.

it's got a couple hundred more horsepower. Well that's the right. Yeah yeah, it needs that. You know to get to soccer practice so ideal for parade.

Labs Indianapolis Motor Speedway Doug did you drive the other wagon? Yes, that's right, that's okay. it's beautiful. Look at this. I Love me some wagons.

Oh cool interior. Sweet wait are you Doug are you taking this around the track? Yeah yeah. yes. two Mercedes wagons.

What are the chances of that? I Can't do smokey burnouts though Jared What did you bring? Uh well. I brought my GMC with a crash Tesla on the back of it so I borrowed Travis's holding you G8 monstrosity because I'm familiar with you so I've got the charger you so I it was the Natural Choice it's not. It's not a bad choice at all. I'm trying to buy it currently so you might not have a ride home, but it'll I'll put it to good use.

That'll work. This looks a lot better than the last time Ed and I were sitting in the back. That's that's right. We stuck the smallest guys in the back and the airbags somehow survived.

Uh and then I lowered it. So now it kind of just looks like it did when you guys were back there at all times when every YouTuber at uh Emilio was in the back of it. That's right. That's right, we are at the Brickyard.

You gotta be kidding me. We're at the Brickyard. It's my first time dude. No Way Indianapolis Motor Speedway Victory Lane So they actually raised the car up.

So when you win, you win right? Indy 500 Your car goes up there. It goes up on top and that's where you drank the milk. Speaking of milk, we do have breakfast. This is breakfast at the Brickyard and uh, we might not be able to get on the track.
It rained last night. it's nice now and they are drying the track I Don't know we're at the we're at the mercy of the the track officials at this point. Chevy is well represented here. Silverados Nice.

wait a minute. What is behind them? They're getting chased by a Ford tow truck that's hilarious. Well guys, we've officially passed the window of time for us making a lap. Uh, they're spending obviously all their time getting it ready for the real race cars.

and I mean obviously this stinks. but I feel so bad for Travis he can't get his Lumen on the track. This is his second year of trying to do this. so Travis I'm sorry dude I'm talking about the truck.

Third time. Yes, third time. All right. So let me tell you what's about to happen.

We are like a minute away from them starting the engines for their first practice and we are in the fence. There they go. It's about to happen for this year's Indianapolis 500 practice. Travis You have the best voice ever.

You should be announcing this right now. Okay, that makes sense. Wait sir you you were a disc jockey for 26. I Didn't know that? yes I have a retro DJ for I played Dancing Queen Unfortunately, more than Abba ever sang Dancing Queen So now I'm on the 80s cruise and I only play a couple times a year.

but uh, after 26 years of dance clubs I've seen it all and uh I'm good. you're done. I'm done all right. There's the jet dryers they're going around.

The track looks dry, but it rained quite a bit last night and they do have to get ready for qualifications which obviously take priority over us. we're not that special ed. Oh I Was really hoping the wagon looks great. Yeah, a little looks even better out there I know right next to that Ferrari could have pushed into the corner a little bit I Don't know which one's faster.

at this point we would have found out. This is really neat being able to walk back here. Our passes got us in so we can see what all the teams are doing. This is unbelievable.

This is the world famous yard of bricks. so this is what the track used to be made of. You know, like a hundred years ago. So cool to be able to see so close.

I mean I'm bummed about the wagon not being on the track. don't get me wrong, but this is still a crazy experience that we have. We have this access look at this old girl still working. Wow that's really cool.

Wait a minute Did I just transport to like the 1980s and 90s? What is going on? Wait a minute Stingray that is that is a cool name. You know this guy. so YouTube whoa sorry I'll get I'll get out of your way. This is where they do the tech inspection so they just got done with this guy right here.

These guys are averaging 231 miles per hour I don't know I don't know if you guys can hear it but that loud snapping noise that was the bricks over there. they go over the bricks. at 230 it makes that noise all right guys. So we just parted ways with everybody.
We watched a little bit of the qualifying uh, then did the Museum tour which I highly recommend. Got to see a lot of race car history. it was really cool and now we are headed back so headed back to Chicago I Pretty much lost my voice at this point. OJ's OJ's gonna pass out for a little bit.

Been a long day, it's been a long week. We've been working on the Z55 like crazy, but it is in such good shape right now. I Still cannot believe that this is my E55 AMG wagon. I've wanted one of these forever and this is exactly how I envisioned it.

Tons of power lowered CLS 55 Wheels Like with the air suspension everything, it's just a dream to drive on the highway. So we're gonna drive the E55 back to Fluid Motor Union and uh, hopefully nothing happens if if it does. I'll definitely record, but otherwise I'll see you back at the shop. All right.

we made it back to Fluid. my voice, my voice has disappeared basically and I didn't bring a car charger so we had this going the whole time which worked and here's where it all started. Fluid Motor Union Mostly right here where this really sweet Buick is. Well guys, the Sun is setting.

both OJ and I have gotten very little sleep the last couple of days. I may or may not be sick at this point. Um, but we had an awesome awesome adventure and I know that it didn't end with the car on the track. That was obviously a big disappointment for me, but again I felt worse for Travis He really wants to get his race car back on that track and I really hope that happens one day and maybe I will be there to witness it.

But it's not about the destination, it's about the journey and the road trip in this case and the mechanical work that we finished here at OJ's shop, the amazing exhaust work, the fact that we gained like a bajillion horsepower on the dyno and this thing rips. It's a Flex fuel E55 Whipple wagon and it is complete. So hopefully you guys enjoyed this video. Hopefully you're enjoying the Mercedes AMG content I know I am and if you did, give it a big thumbs up, share the video with your friend friends.

Check out OJ and Fluid Motor Union in Naperville Illinois If you guys want your car fixed right the first time, this is the place. I'll drop all their information down below and uh, what else guys, what else do I say here? Most importantly, have an awesome day and I'll see all of you in the next video. We're going to remove our powder coated yeah with all the connectors disconnected, you can just simply simply pop up, Pop up. So let's do that because we're almost ready to fire this thing up.

We just yeah and I know I've made this warning a few times, but dinos that and I know I've made this warning I Love E55s! Okay thank you.
