I love my 2OO3 E55 AMG. It pretty much started my channel but there is one thing I hate. The 5-speed automatic transmission is a dog. The 722.6 transmission shifts slow and soft and that's not why we buy AMG cars. In this video, I fix the two issues that came up with the C63 in the last video and I change out the valve body on the E55. This completely transforms the driving experience of the E55 and is something you guys can all do at home in an hour or 2.

Here is how to reset adaptations without a computer.
1. Turn the ignition key to the on (not start) position.
2. Press the gas pedal to the floor and hold for five seconds.
3. Turn the key to the "off" position (don't remove the key), then release the gas pedal.
4. Wait at least two minutes for ECU to reset.

Yeah those cars are pretty fun and pretty amazing when they're new but about as far as it goes,of course if can afford new then that fun experience, and will own it until est 55k or less before moved on to newest model or something else, second and possibly 3rd owners might have some fun with minor issues but anyone after first 3 owners will be dumping money as there just not a car to tolerate the abuse without price to pay back, but they are sweet ive liked all e class amg's or AMG's period 😀

It's got a shit load of torque and only 5 gears…so there's not that many shifts to be made anyway 😂

I’m getting ready to buy my first Mercedes this up coming Thursday. It’s a 2007 C280 4Matic with about 175k on the dash. Everyone says this is a great entry into this brand so I’m going to test the waters. I’ve own almost every car brand except Benz in fear of how expensive they can get, but I really want that E55. Any tips? Also I live 20 mins from you, if your ever at a car meet or want new car buddies I’m always open. It’s alway good to have people around who actually knows what they’re doing like yourself.
Are the toque specs for the 722.9 transmission pan, valve body solenoid, and the screws on the valve body the same as 722.6?
I was going to take it in, but I might as well do it myself since I’m stock the parts and proper tools, just waiting tips. One of which is torque specs
