Are Cheap aftermarket bumpers worth it? In this video, I compare the quality differences between a made in Taiwan $500 E63 AMG front bumper and the $2,000 factory Mercedes E55 AMG Bumper. I also show you everything you need to know to install the facelift front bumper from the 2007-2009 E63 AMG to a 2003-2006 E55 AMG or any 211 chassis E Class. There is also a cheap bumper repair option in this video that I show you on My C55 AMG but this will work for any plastic bumper.
I'm super excited to announce a totally free way that anyone can support the channel!! I was approved for an Amazon Influencer account which allows YouTubers like myself, and other creators to earn a small commission from sales generated from people first clicking on my Amazon link, and then buying anything from Amazon. This doesn't cost you a penny as Amazon compensates the creators for driving traffic and sales to the site. So even if you don't buy the product or tool that I link in the video description box, you are still supporting the channel by shopping on Amazon after you clicked through any of my links. Each video will have either specific links to things I use or talk about in the video, or you will see my general LegitStreetCars Amazon link like this. https://www.amazon.com/shop/legitstreetcars

Next time you need car parts, tools, diapers, condoms, fidget spinners or anything on Amazon think of good ole Alex from LegitStreetCars.

Something else I want to mention. Although everything looks easy in a video, with body work there is usually adjustments that need to be made. I took 2 hours off camera to mess around with body lines and every car is different. Here are the part numbers.

E63 bumpers on a e55 just looks bad. E55 looks better understated as it was from the factory

Could One of those fit on a real w2111 E63?

Hey Alex! I just busted my E55 front bumper on an HOV lane marker the other day and I can’t decide if I want to go with the conversion or just fix it. The facelift makes it way more aggressive and ‘newer’ looking but I like the understated look of the E55 and the fact that it just looks like any other old E class to most people. Even after I do the long tube headers and fuel/intake upgrades, I plan on keeping the stock intakes, resonator and mufflers to keep it stealthy for LEOs and in the good graces of my neighbors. 😂 I have some other paint work I have been putting off and I need to pull the front bumper to do some cooling upgrades and the hood and rear bumper were painted badly at some point in the cars life so I am leaning towards just repairing the stock one and spend the extra towards paint work on the other panels. I did quite a bit of paint correction on the rest of the car (thanks to your videos) and it looks really good for its age but the rock chips have taken their toll and there is only so much you can do with touch up paint and the car really deserves to look perfect again for its next stage in life with me into my golden years. 😂 Thanks for the great content Alex!

Hi, big fan. Your videos are awesome. I have w211 2007 fully loaded but it didn't come with the push start on the transmission knob. Os there a way to add this feature? What would be the parts and if you make a video would be great because it is not exist on YouTube.

OEM is always the way to go if available, Ty Just refinish it. Often times aftermarket parts don’t fit resulting in you having to cut and/or sand alot and doesn’t last as long. Paying a little extra for OEM is still cheaper than buying an aftermarket part twice over since they’re usually not as durable all around…in my experience
