In this video, I talk about how I went from literally not knowing how to. add engine oil to being a Mercedes-Benz Master Certified Journeyman technician in 2 years. I also talk about what I do for a living, how I got started as a tech and why I left Mercedes. Oh, I talk about going to fulltime YouTube.
Enjoy!

I was the same self taught. School of hard knocks. Any body looking to get in field get in a shop learn all ya can. Learn all you can outside of work. Don’t give up. Honestly it’s refreshing to hear positive story of the field.
this is misconceiving info. Disregard!
This was really inspiring thanks man!
Hi my favorite car Tech. Sonny from South Africa with no experience in car mechanics. Keen on rebuilding my 1995 E36 BMW 325i despite my inexperience. Even if it takes me 6months to a perfectly done engine, please let me know what you think. Your suggestions and encouragement will be appreciated. Tools to have, etc?
Keep producing that great content, you're the best university equivalent resource in motoring. I like your passion…am a huge fan of your posts, great impartations!
Actually just started working at Mercedes as a tech, and this is inspiring man
you just got to vlog days work
You were a blank canvas 🎨, and now look at you. I can relate too.
Awesome story! You had a goal, you were focused, studied hard, then got into the nitty gritty greasy and dirtied your hands…and you made it! You are what I would call “Living the Dream”. Go ahead and reach your hand around to your backside and give yourself a nice big pat. You deserve it!👍
Damn man that mother story is so heartwarming😢❤
Such an inspiration
Can I contact you about something needed on my gl450?
go to college – maybe you're needed, maybe not; no job security, you're @ the mercy of corporate whims.
become a mechanic – EVERYBODY needs you all the time; if you're any good at it, you'll ALWAYS have more work than you can handle.
Hey saw your video on oil leaks, I have a C250 Sports and really like it. I saw you talking and was like WOW! this guy really knows his stuff, of course once hearing you're an EX-Mercedes Mechanic I was like this is my go to guy. Glad you're doing these videos to help us save a lot of money. Big thanks!!
I love your videos bro. I have a 2002 mercedes benz 430 clk but got a clk 2001 55 amg it is a truely a head turner.
I gotta say though dude wyotech is a complete rip off lol. I hate when they sell u on making great money right after school soon to find out you'll be an apprentice kinda lame
Dude that's really amazing if it took you only 2 years to be a Mercedes master tech.
What was your German car? Mine was a 2000 S430 I bought for $1,500 with a misdiagnosed bad engine!
