Nicely done! However, with spark wires so close to headers I would be somewhat concerned about heat. Would it be overkill in using a shield on those wires… just saying, cheers and thanks for posting a great video.
Hey @LegitStreetCars this video is missing from the Caprice PPV play list.
Nothing like abusing a starter motor to Prime the engine. That's why you're supposed to use assembly Lube to put the engine together so you don't need to do things like burn up a starter. A starter is not rated for running more than about 3 to 4 seconds at a time.

The sound of your engine's first start was reminiscent of when I pulled, rebuilt (with some help from my sons whow were in HS), and first started the engine (after a few days of troubleshooting) in my 88 IROC with new Dyno Don headers. My wife came running out the house shouting "that sounds awesome!" And she's not into cars all that much.
