Before I fix the 402,000 mile 2003 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG I thought it would awesome to bring it to the Mercedes dealership for a pre-purchase inspection. In this video, we take a look at everything the dealer found wrong with this super high mileage car and some things they missed. We tally it all up at the end to see what happens when you bring a 400k mile car to the dealer.
Links to parts are in the article below.
Thanks again iCars Chicago for letting me do whatever I want to this car you guys are awesome.

Had the same issue at my local Honda Dealership, had the oil changed and tires rotated and rebalanced, they did there vehicle inspection and said I needed to change the manual transmission fluid and replace the rear brakes, $150 for the fluid and $400 for the rear brakes which are disk and don’t require anything special for the ebrake like some cars require. Did the brakes myself for $50 with Honda OEM parts.

So I drive the car for 4k miles and got another oil change but decided to take it to a quick oil lube place instead of Honda since it took them 4 hours to perform the previous svc and told me it would only be 1 hour svc time and I had an appointment, and I waited, won’t do that again. But anyways they said everything else on the car was great and then while at the oil lube place they checked the air filter and I watched them pull it out and omg it was almost black, full of crap and no light able to shine thru it, I was pissed and couldn’t believe something so simple to inspect was not checked, I would have told them to replace it since they knew I was waiting.

This is basically a clear sign to say fuc every dealership. 95% will try to rip you off and also sometimes they don’t even do what they said was done!

They said it was basically 3k for cv axles in my friggin c240 lol
I didn't even pay that much for the car to own it lol..
I did it easier then any vehicle I've ever owned for a quarter the price and kind shook my head thinking ya mercedes robs people that don't know how to wrench on cars.
    $470 total and that's shipping included ..
Rock auto has everything dirt cheap.
Like $75 for an axel not 1000 lol for God sakes.
I realize I'm in an extremely expensive city but ya that's robbing the rich

OK LETS GET THIS CLEAR DID YOU SAY DEALERSHIP OR STEALERSHIP OOOOOOH MY BAD , THERE THE SAME THING ARENT THEY BRAH ! LEGITIMATE THIEFS FULL STOP, HOW DO THEY NOT NOTICE THE BREAK THAT BAD .. BUT HEY THEM OIL LEAKS WERE WAAAY WAAY PAST BAD THEY WERE BRUTAL,

Ps … I'm just take a Wilde swing at this guess but I'm thinking those misses were on purpose , due to the fact they even know that those quotes were fierce expensive if not shocking for a car of this age , I don know If you failed to mention the quote was that just for replacement parts , or was that labour included , if it were just parts prices you can bet your bottom dollar in your sock drawer that by the time your finished with labor cost tax and vat you will no doubt-ably be in excess of €10.000 plus plus dollars for real <RIP OF AMERICA ..with two meanings rip as in robbed, rip as bye bye America's not so good standing economy as we already knew it as but this my friends is where it's all going to go , just waiting until yall have car health checks every 2 years like Europe .. y'all are screwed then

i think in all fairness you should have named the dealer ship so that others would be warned not to take their cars there. we have a dealership here in saint louis that i would never take my car back to because of thier over priced services,
