this is my wife's 2017 orange Commodore and it has 7 000 miles on it. Nice. She got hit in it and the insurance company was like oh you know we'll probably write you off whatever else it used to say last V8 but since she didn't let that go back to the insurance, it's a Holden but she held on to it. That is hilarious.

So completely repaired you can never tell but uh, 7 000 miles below it is a two or 2016 jungle green. They only made 78 of them and that is the 78th one that came into the United States It has 20 000 miles on it but uh what? Transmissions are we are we talking about All right? So are we going. Both of these are automatics. The GXP is a manual and it's 24 000 miles.

Wow! and they only made 1800 Gxps but red with us with the six speed six two manual, 24 000 miles. Uh, the numbers are low but I have no idea what they are. That's a 2008 Commodore and it is the loudest car on Earth So it's uh, just got to the fleet just because a friend of mine had it and kind of was led a straight on a LS you know, kind of Dodge Elite and didn't do it well and I picked it up and and my buddy Adam Valentine brought it home. so it's uh, it's it.

Just got hit back here two days ago. Do you have the keys for it? Yeah, I mean you mentioned the whole thing so it's ridiculous when you mentioned something like that that you got it started. We got to hear it because my Caprice is very loud. Foreign.

That's loud. It is definitely loud. My Caprice Rivals this though for sure because mine's got that really choppy cam but this is pretty loud. That's a factory color that is a 100.

Oh, it's gorgeous. Sometimes when you look at it it's blue. Sometimes when you look at it's purple and it is a 2008 stealth blue. There's probably 10 of them in the United States Geez, hey, look at this.

It's the exhaust just like on the Caprice the solo exhaust with the adjustable little trombone deal over there. The J-pipe I do have a 2012 Chevy Caprice Ppv which would match this collection perfectly. Uh, but I drove the E55 wagon down here I didn't I didn't know I didn't know I was going to be seeing all of this I think the Australian car world is okay with the E55 station wagon I'm a big van guy so this is yeah. this is right up my alley.

Fun fact: uh my Grandma had a neon green tracker. well it was one of the first cars I'd ever driven legally with a license real underglow and we had to have them shortened because the tracker was too long and we had to take him to a neon.

Are you kidding me? Just sit yes and it always a whopping 82 000 miles. Okay so uh Travis is a burnout pad Rob Have you ever done a burnout on this pad actually I have um what kind of vehicle? the twin turbo Pontiac GTO Nice! This is a really cool property. I'm not gonna lie Travis has the ultimate backyard Yeah for The Car Guy this is this is all his too right? Yes! I could picture this paved for like you know a donut pad I think I would pave this be a lot easier to sweep up rubber than to cut all this grass. They have the yard of bricks at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway This is the foot of bricks and a literal burnout pad.

and I Don't think that these are Travis's properties. these are neighbors. Just imagine you buy that house and they literally put a burnout pad right here. This is a very nice walk.

We got a Tesla oh 18 100 D with ludicrous mode dual motor. all the bells and whistles okay I'm like do these go together Rich rebuild style. This thing is quite wrecked. What is the plan? It is very wrecked.

So the story behind it was someone bought this roughly in 2018 to rebuild it. Shortly after getting it, he was unfortunately diagnosed with prostate cancer. actually overcame it which is not a common thing, but realized he didn't want junk in his life that his kitchen would have to deal with. so he's been trying to get rid of it.

Couldn't get anyone to come pick it up. parts yards didn't want it. A friend Robert from aging Wheels went out, looked at it said I can't figure out how to load this Jared do you want it and I didn't know what I was going to do with it but you know what are you gonna do with it I had thought about I have a 66 Chrysler New Yorker I needed the engine from it I'm like I'll do a motor swap that but then I picked up another big block. so I don't have to tear that apart anymore.

It is destroyed Beyond rebuilding this chassis. There's two options I might buy a flood shell and swap everything over or harvest it for parts. I've never had a single EV and suddenly I have two. How much does something like this cost? Uh, it was 3.99 Get out He was please come get it.

He wouldn't take anything for it. He said we were doing him a huge favor. The problem was like air suspension was completely collapsed. it was sitting on the battery.

So I spent 300 on six by sixes if we come around to the back of the trailer. Yeah, the wood is worth you spent more on wood than a Tesla Yeah wow and a whole. they had a bunch of just soap on it. the rain washed that off, but we jacked it up with the winch and we just slid it on onto the trailer and it worked absolutely perfectly.

So right now most likely I'll be repurposing the battery, actually breaking it down and taking the modules and installing those into the battery pack. For a car that is literally why Tesla exists the Ev1 Oh the Ev1 Wait, what do you mean Hey, Jared are you telling me you have an Ev1? I have a much rarer version of the Ev1 and S10 pickup they made 1100 EV ones that made 462 of these S10s I had like a mini heart attack for Ev1 and then like another heart attack for the S10 electric. No way. it's the full Ev1 drivetrain.

same motor inverters, everything it is. It's front wheel drive it is. I've been one of those I've only seen one in real life. The guy still like does the car show circuit in Chicago by my house.

it's so cool. It is awesome but they have lead acid battery cells at like 1400 pounds and you get 33 miles away. you can't get them anymore like the lead acid Tech doesn't exist. so if I were to rebuild it would legitimately be about 22 000 to rebuild that battery pack for 30 miles of range.

So but you have a 300 mile battery pack. Yep for 3.99 All right, we're gonna try to probably repackage that, but keep all everything else about it stock because it's 7 600 miles. an almost perfect condition needs some reconditioning but I modify and everything apart I have rare trucks I've torn apart and upgraded and people have gotten upset about and this is like the first car. I stop and say this is too historically significant yeah to destroy.

So right this injured it seems a little questionable. yeah and that's why I Gotta check out the questionable garage. So the state of Indiana was selling DNR trucks for 3 500 bucks so he bought three of them and it's now a Mr plow truck. Hey uh Travis So do you by any chance plow with this thing? my driveway nice since I was a disc jockey for 24 years, 26 years.

I would get home at three in the morning from the clubs from DJing all night. but all of my neighbors had real jobs so I would sneak out plow their driveways real quick so they can get out and then I got caught. Then they called me the snowplow ferry. So I'm just I don't know I Have a question though.

like the burnout pad is literally right uh, in front or in back of those houses. Yeah my neighbors. yeah and what's how? how are they? So what they do is they have signs from zero to ten and if you do a good burnout, they'll walk out of their door and give you a 10. you suck.

They'll give you a five. Did you buy those houses and like specifically choose and plant who is going to live there And it's basically Jared and a bunch of other cool car guys and all of this was junk property. Nobody wanted it. You can see these broke down greenhouses back.

Oh yeah, all of this was broke down greenhouses. so I spent two years on that thing and cleaned up all the property and turned it into a park for all of my car guys to come and have fun. Well I can't wait for the uh, Backyard 400? Are you doing it? Yeah, when is it? So this should be? It's a fall classic so it'll be in October I Mean if there's room, there's room that's gonna be awesome. Wait, hold on.

Oh this is nice man. So real world. you are in one of the only legal left-hand Drive Holden's in the United States That did start life. They all started life in Australia but right this started Life as a car in Australia Drove for a while a husband and wife got a little bit of a fight and she put it in the creek and uh I bought it, put it in the container, shipped it over and used another 2009 Pontiac G8 GT for parts and there's one less 2009 Pontiac G8 GT In the world it is registered legal and it's not registered as a four-door sedan.

It is registered as a two-door truck holding Ute. That is awesome. I Don't understand. Like why why didn't we get these? We were supposed to.

Yeah, we had the El Caminos back in the day they did all right. Sure, why not? We were supposed to get them in 2010 and in 2009 50 Cent rolled it out at the New York Auto Show You know, clap and they rolled this out as the 2009 Pontiac G8 ST which was a street trip. but then they killed Pontiac in 10. Yeah and we didn't get the truck.

so I thought they were the coolest thing on God's green earth. Then you got this. Uh, here it is. Can I go? uh.

wide open throttle? Yeah. Pound on. Oh, is that an early this is and do you feel it? Kind of Step out a little bit because there's nothing back there. but it'll it'll It'll straighten itself up.

Okay, so my Caprice did 460 but this feels faster. It's probably less the weight. Yeah, because you've got two back doors. which this doesn't anymore.

All that is is a hard lit tonneau cover in the back priest. I think it's 4 200 ish. Yep, and so you have a heavy back window. Yeah, full back doors? This just says two doors.

What do you think of ways you know? we're probably only about 400 to 600 pounds lighter than you? Well then yeah, I'd rather have four or 500 less pounds than than 20 horsepower. Yeah, you know this is awesome dude. and the Trans is so good. It's got caddy V brakes on it so they make a conversion for the G8 to put the caddy B break on it.

it'll It'll surge you through a stoplight. Yeah, it's got a little little cam in it left, but it'll It corrects itself. Yeah, so it is as long as your Caprice but it's four inches longer than the G8. So I mean first experience.

Is it weird? Does it or does it feel like the Caprice Yeah, no. I mean I Feel like I Generally feel like I'm in the Caprice except you can tell there's like kind of this wall right here. Sure, you know you don't. You don't have that feeling where you're in this big gigantic car.

So because you're not looking back there, it almost feels like you're in a two-door sports car. Like a two-seater You know, like obviously it's a two-seater Yeah, and you drive this all the time. I Mean you look at those stuff in the mop. Pockets There's small box stores and foreign.

This thing rips. it's so crazy and it sounds so good. it's perfect. Like it's not even really like now.

it's just a normal car. Like not. So that's why we didn't Everybody's like oh, you need a torque converter because that's what gives you the serger or the lunge. But if you get a torque converter in this, you kind of mess with this style driving.

I Understand Yeah? I I've had a few big stall converter cars, sure, and if you're not beating on them, they're kind of a little boring because they're mushy. You know it's wow, You know? Yeah. I Agree. I Like having a tighter stall converter like my CTS-V has the stock Cam and the stock stalling I like it I mean it's got plenty of power from the oh you have the Maroon one yeah I Was in love with that car when uh Tyler had it and I was like ah man, such a red car.

That's my daily horrible fuel mileage. What do you get on this horrible fuel? We were really worried about it. We wouldn't drive more. So it's true.
