In this video, I remove and take apart the engine from my 2012 Chevy Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle or PPV. I removed the engine just like it's put together at the factory by lifting the entire body off the engine, cradle, suspension, and transmission! This engine idled for 12 months and was abused and driven hard for years with no history of ever having any engine work at all! This is a 6.0 V8 LS engine and it has the problematic displacement on-demand or DOD and we take it all apart to see what's inside. Looking inside this engine was a ton of fun and what we find inside the engine is surprising. I already have all the new parts for the build so this tired cop car engine will be back stronger than ever.

So what we learned in the intro is police need electric cars.
Yeah that math you're using is very misleading! It amounts to 43 miles in time and fuel consumption only! I can send you two studies done on 1000 cop cars in two different states. Cop cars are the best maintained fleet there are. When you stated your 1hr -33mile comparison, what you are leaving out is idle time there is no load, no drastic change in rpm, no pulling or advancing timing while at idle compared to wide open throttle from idle wh I ch nearly every cop does every time they pull off… I can send you the studies by email if you'd like but in short, there are ne ways to compare idle and an engine propelling a 4k lb vehicle at high rpm to stop back to jumping into traffic to run down a citizen for not using his turn signal or other such horrible infractions 😂

Question, do you know weather or not that specific retired police car had propane injection? In my area in FL its commonly used in police vehicles and ive seen used oil on the dipstick of locally used still in service car at 5k miles that looked brand new because of it
