Hey: what's up fake eures, what did you say the euros copied me he'll never be as good. Well, how does it feel to be finally accepted in the united states? The real car guys always wanted me. No one even reviews you i'm the car everybody's talking about. I have a twin turbo v8 producing 580 horsepower stock.

So do i, i have quattro all-wheel drive and an 8-speed zf automatic transmission with launch control. Well, so do i maybe maybe we're not that different brother. I also have a velocity ap tune and downpipes, and i actually make about 700 horsepower. I hate you.

I hope you depreciate to nothing. This carbon fiber is nuts all right. Here's the key! Thank you! Just don't go over a quarter throttle on this brake gas. Great america roller coaster ride seriously.

I'm just kidding i'm not doing that. Welcome back to legit street cars, my name is alex, and today i have borrowed a very special suv from the fine people at mancuso collision custom here in glenview illinois. This is a 2021 audi rs q8, but it's not just any audi rsq8. This one has a couple of modifications that bring its horsepower level up to about 700.

It is a wild ride and we're going to be taking it out for a nice leisurely cruise here. In a moment just to test out its drivability and see, you know how comfortable it is that that's about it whoa now, the guys here at mancuso's have an impeccable taste for cars and they also picked up a 2021 rs6 avant. This is a very special car. I am a huge fan of anything wagon and two of my e55 wagons are in this building right now, one's in the body shop getting painted and the other one is sitting over there.

Looking pretty so very excited about this, it will be on the channel we're going to be modifying this car full exhaust tune, lowering module different wheels, it's going to be one of the nicest rs6 events in the country, but today's focus is on you know, just a Regular family suv, the brand new rs q8 from audi, and what makes this so special is right here. Underneath all of this plastic is a four liter twin turbo, v8 direct injected and from the factory they make 590 horsepower and 591 foot-pounds of torque, and these are absolute monsters. So this is the same engine that is in the lamborghini urus the rs7, the rs6 avant. This is their flagship performance engine.

It doesn't even look too crazy from the side profile and one thing that will give it away here that this is definitely a performance model. Let's take a look at these calipers guys. Just take a look, i mean i don't think they're going to get any bigger. I think this is it.

We got to be maxed out here in the world with the size of brakes that are going to go on cars, so this actually does have a carbon ceramic option for an additional 9 000 which this does not have. But i bet 99.9 of rsq-8 owners are not going to need carbon ceramics, but you know the name of the game. With these luxury cars you just option them out like crazy, sometimes for no reason. But one thing i really like is the carbon fiber package on this particular vehicle.
I think it pretty much has every option outside of the carbon ceramic brake. So this is exactly how i would have gotten it too. So yeah, 130, 000 sticker so 113 is the base. The carbon fiber package, forty five hundred dollars black optic package, 29 luxury package - oh and lots of packages - lots of packages, so we have a total of almost one hundred and thirty thousand dollars, and these are selling for over sticker because they are so rare and so Hard to come by so like i said this - has a velocity, ap tune and down pipes which put it at about 700 horsepower.

Quattro all-wheel drive launch control. This thing is going to dead hook in practically all reasonable conditions, even with its gigantic 23-inch wheels. These have to be probably the biggest factory wheels you can get on an suv at this point, so just ridiculous big brakes big wheels lots of carbon fiber, but overall, especially on the side profile. It's not too aggressive.

I think it's beautiful, but it doesn't scream 700 horsepower. It doesn't scream 100 and you know 40. 000 suv after the upgrades it looks like a nice elegant and sporty suv that you can just use every single day pick up the kids go to work go to wherever you want to go and then have a lot. I mean a lot of fun on the street and the interior is definitely the place to be so i'm a big fan of a lot of the newer audi interiors and this one is no exception so again with the carbon fiber, loving it they have the red Stitching here on the door panel, the seats have the traditional audi honeycomb again with the red stitching, practically everywhere, very very nice steering wheel kind of interesting to note.

It doesn't have a flat bottom steering wheel, uh, the paddle shifters are okay, they're plastic, i'm sure the urus has metal aluminum ones, but overall, i really cannot complain. I've played around with this infotainment system quite a bit, and i really like it so check it out. When you have navigation on the main screen, you can send that over to the cluster as well, and it does have heads up display which is kind of hard to see on camera. So you really are able to keep your eyes on the road, and this is very, very intuitive.

I love how they use kind of these big blocks for all the different menus, so you're not searching around. You never have a question of where something is it's like. Radio bam right there. Everything very, very simple to use climate control does look a little crazy here, but after you use it a few times, you'll get used to it and it's got a nice normal volume.

Knob start stop is right here: beautiful shifter, just a huge fan of the interior. I kind of wish they did a little bit of carbon over here. One downside is that it does get kind of fingerprinty after a while. So here there you go yeah now.
One thing i really like about the five thousand dollar carbon option is how well it matches my carbon ridge wallet. So you always want the interior of your car to match your wallet. That's very important, and in case you don't have a carbon interior ridge comes in many different colors and materials. They hold up to 12 credit cards.

There is a money clip to hold all of your cash and you can get 10 off by going to ridge.com legit i'll leave a link down below before my ridge wallet. I was working with this guy, practically a 79 ford pinto of wallets, and now i've stepped right up into the audi rs q8 of wallets right here i absolutely love my ridge wallet so definitely check out the link down below love the large sunroof alcantara headliner, absolutely Gorgeous a wonderful wonderful place to be just like you'd expect from any you know: 130, 40, 000, car, okay, so first drive in the audi rs q8, the 700 horsepower tuned and downpiped audi rsq8 and i'm sitting at a red light and the engine has died out. Now no worries this isn't breaking down. This has automatic start, stop feature like most modern cars, and i believe it'll only do that in comfort mode, so that is obviously to save fuel.

A lot of fuel is used while you're idling and there's really no reason to sit there and idle an engine. That's already warmed up, so they have provided a mild hybrid system for this vehicle. It has a 48 volt battery and a belt driven alternator starter and that's how it accomplishes the start. Stop and you can coast with the engine off as well under certain light load conditions.

So they have done quite a bit for fuel economy on this car and that is probably to make up for what people are most likely going to do with it and something i'm going to do with it right now, which is mash the gas pedal. Okay. Oh my gosh, so i'm in comfort mode, so there's a big delay. It felt horrible and then it kicked in.

So we got to get this out of comfort mode. So let's go to rs1 mode and that changes uh the cluster and the heads-up display to kind of a race mode, very race, inspired. We can see power percentage and torque um, and this has a 60 40 torque split so 60, going to the rear 40 in the front and i believe uh it gets even more aggressive than that in rs2 mode. So, let's see what the difference is we're.

It is fast, it is fast, i must say it's kind of slow to downshift. If you mash it you're, definitely waiting uh uh, quite a bit of time there before it does anything now this doesn't have a dual clutch transmission, so this still has a torque converter. So this is an eight speed, automatic tiptronic um and it is a very quick shifting transmission, but it does have its limitations. Audi's been doing this for a while on kind of their flagship performance vehicles because they claim uh the dual clutch transmission can't handle the power.

So i'm actually a big fan of torque converter transmissions, especially in vehicles like this i mean keep in mind. This is an suv. I know it's really really fast, but this is an suv and although the dual clutch transmissions have gotten much better over the years, this is more drivable. This is smoother, there's no jerkiness to this.
So for a you know, for a little bit of a slower. You know shifting experience in an suv. I think it's okay, most people aren't racing this vehicle. So let's see rs2 mode now this turns off stability control, traction control, i'm sure it's still around in the background somewhere, but it also makes the exhaust louder.

It lowers the suspension and when we whack it yeah whoa it downshifted very quick there did you guys, hear the shift. These ships are spot on so they've gotten these torque converter transmissions and performance vehicles to shift so quick. I i mean you'd be hard-pressed to tell any difference between the dual clutch. You know, as a normal person just driving your car, i'm sure there's crazy specifications on one of them shifting you know 100 milliseconds quicker than the other, but i'd rather have this, and in my experience in general, torque converter transmissions can handle a ton of power um, Which is what audi is going for here, and in this case this one has about 700 horsepower.

So drivetrain strength is very, very important, especially in some crazy 0-60 launches. So this does 0-60 stock in, like 3.8 seconds uh. The guys here at mancuso's have done. I think low threes uh in the winter time with no snow on the ground, but you know very cold - tires low threes to 60., we're gon na test that as well and velocity ap.

That's the company that made the downpipes for this car the tune in this car is from velocity ap they've run a 10 10-9 in an rsq-8 on snow tires with the exact same mod, so we are driving around in a 10-second suv right now and it feels Like it, oh, my gosh, this is addicting. This is this is the type of car. It's just it's too easy to beat on there's no fuss. It's all-wheel drive it's still comfortable, it's not harsh at all, even in rs2 mode.

I would definitely drive this in rs2 mode and uh yeah. It just begs you to just kind of give it some throttle every once in a while or every all the time. That's a work. Okay, let's uh, let's shift down so i just hit the paddle down once and we are now in fifth gear.

I know you guys can't hear this. It's really quiet, even with the downpipes um and being in rs2 mode, so we're in fourth, okay. I wanted third, so i like playing around with paddles, but honestly, i don't think anyone out there can do a better job than the transmissions computer. So paddles are fun.

You know when, if you're going around a road course, you definitely need it, but just for driving around you're not going to shift any faster uh. You know i put it in a specific gear and it's still downshifted for me because it's like no you're an idiot. We need to go down one more gear and then we'll be as fast as we can be we'll give a third like it wants there we go. It does respond instantly, though, when i do paddle shift it, which is really nice on a torque converter, uh transmission.
Okay, so i actually had to stop and get gas this thing uh. It uses a lot of gas. I don't know why. I don't know why whoa, why why i mean how i mean.

I don't even know what i'm saying this is insane what car companies are doing these days, people this is insane. I mean how much faster is it gon na get? Did you think we were to be here even 10 years ago? I just i think about the fact that i drive. I have an ml 55 amg a 2000 and that you know in 2000, when someone would drive that and review that it was oh, my gosh. This is fast that is so slow, so slow.

Now it is ridiculous what we've done you know in 10 years or let alone 20 years uh. The performance of these cars is just mind-boggling. It's mind-boggling, it's got a little bit of turbo lag, you know, ah nah, never mind it. Doesn't it doesn't.

I really can't find much wrong with this car. It is very, very comfortable uh. The ride is amazing. Even with the 23-inch wheels uh, it rides beautifully.

It's not too harsh. So what a lot of people discuss is whether or not the lamborghini urus, which is basically the exact same vehicle, is worth roughly a hundred thousand dollars more than this i mean personally. No, i don't think so. I mean, but a lot of what you're paying for uh with that is obviously the lamborghini name uh, which we all know is worth a lot of money.

I don't know i'd much rather get one of these do a tune and downpipe and be much faster than a stock uris. The euros has like 50, more horsepower from the factory um, which is probably all in the tune, because it's the same engine that works very, very well, and apparently it's very receptive to mods and it's receptive to people flooring. The gas pedal when a maserati comes up on. You see ya yeah.

You got nothing buddy and uh yeah, so i don't know a hundred thousand dollars more for the lambo. I don't know, i don't think i'll ever be in that position to have to make that decision, but if i ever am, i will definitely let you guys know what i choose, because you know you'll see it on the channel it'll be titled. I bought a lamborghini uras or an rsq8 all right guys. We have a draggy hooked up and we're in rs2 i'm going to hit the brake all the way down floor.

The gas launch, control activated that was nuts. We definitely broke traction. Oh my gosh, 3.4. 3.4 to 60..

That is really good, really good and it was a massive delay. You guys probably saw that you jolt in my body there um massive delay, so i don't know if we broke traction. I kind of wasn't thinking all right, so you're telling me. I just have to go: do a bunch of doors and like usually the second or third one is much better all right, i mean you know just for the purpose of science, i'll just keep on doing it.
Yeah break all the way down floor. It. Oh, the cell phone with the draggy went flying. Hopefully it still got that what did it do? Whoa 3.15? Can you guys see that 3.15 to 60.? We are almost in the twos.

Oh, we got ta. Do this again, we got ta. Do this again? Oh, this is awesome, so i just held it uh for a little bit longer and it launched much better. There was no delay uh, no, nothing! It just did 3.1 to 60.

ridiculous. All right. What do you think three, two three one! Well that looked way better. Yeah, your phone went flying yeah three, one: five verified zero to thirty.

One point three seconds: all right: here we go brake gas. What did we do? 3.29? Okay, okay, so it's heating up, it's heating up all right, give give the rsq8 a break all right. It is still ridiculously consistent, though very bottom threes to 60. and i'm pretty sure, with a little bit cooler temperature.

We could go even faster wow. Should i try one more all right i'll. Try one more convince me. You know what there should just be a roller coaster ride.

You know at great america or whatever, where they just set you up in a car like this, and you just do 0 to 60 blasts. I mean seriously: that's like a good idea if you think about it, the cost of a roller coaster. You know it's got to be astronomical right and to run it and to maintain it. You can just buy a fleet of these set them up at great america and you just sit in there and just blast to 60..

That's some entrepreneur type stuff right. There brake gas, great america roller coaster, ride, it had a delay. Okay, it had a little delay there. We might, we might just be breaking traction.

That's what's! Yeah! 3.4. Okay. 3.4. I want my money back great america.

I love this car. Oh i love this car. Oh so good, it's so good after a test drive like that, like how do you drive anything else, i mean i'm gon na be driving my tesla back, which is quick, but it doesn't make any noise. There isn't really much of a soul.

I mean it's very fast, but where do we go from here i mean the easy answer is electrification so in 10 years and 15 years everything might just be electric, but if it's not, if we still have internal combustion performance, suvs like this in 10 or 15 Years, do they come with 800 horsepower 900 horsepower? When does it end? When do we reach the physical limitations of physics? When, when do we say enough, is enough what is going to happen with cars? I almost feel like right now we are, we don't even realize it, but we're in this golden gold, like platinum era of cars, where a tune in a downpipe gets you 700 horsepower. I mean we've been here for a while, but god all i got to say is that i hope we always have internal combustion vehicles performance vehicles if we have to move to electric cars for daily drivers, fine, but this kind of stuff it's got to stick around. I really hope it does. Let me know in the comment sections: where do you think we'll be, let's say in 15 years 10.
I still think we'll have gassers around 15 years. Where do you think we will be with internal combustion cars? Will they just be recreational vehicles? So with that, i really hope you enjoyed this review and this nice leisurely test drive of the 2021 audi rsq8, a big thanks to mancuso collision custom in glenview illinois for trusting me with this car and soon we will bring you some content on the rs6 avant. Very excited about that. So, if you haven't already give the video a thumbs up, share the video subscribe if you're new and most importantly, have an awesome day i'll catch all of you in the next video.

In 15 years there will be ICE beaters on the road still, and legendary ICE cars will be like your dads 60s 70s muscle cars, garage queens, take them out on the weekend — why not also? You enjoy them more that way, they become more special, but there is 0 chance that electrification won't fully take over, it makes sense, they're better in every way other than the "soul". The "soul" should be experienced when you have time to enjoy it on the weekends. Also, it will be funny to see our kids reaction to daddy's stick shift Hellcat in the garage, like will they care? I think maybe but I don't know it will be as impactful as living during the ICE era.

I would take a Audi RS7/6 over this, for its unique Audi look. The RSQ8 is nothing special IMO its pretty much a copy and paste of Porsche Cayenne Turbo S.

I live in south Africa and I have to say electric in 15 year is a deep pipe dream, we just discovered building and tuning, well we've been in it for a while but accessibility is only growing now. And our electricity infrastructure is terrible. Importing a Tesla here costs as much as two of those Audis or the cost of a Lamborghini Urus and some change so no
