We were technically able to drive our carbon fiber body. Talon PSI for the very first time I Know I had a blast and Peter is still in the car as we speak, pretending to have a blast. But all of that joy and excitement lasted a grand total of about nine minutes. As the clutch decided to stop working, we limped the Talon back to the shop.

but you need to pump the clutch about five times to get it to release. So not only do we need to fix the clutch, but we also have a flashing check engine light to diagnose a horrible noise in the rear, some sketchy stuff we need to unsketrify and who knows what else before we can go for our second and much more proper test drive of this car. and I call First Drive Ah dang it! So I Suspect that the slave and master cylinder for the clutch system are original on this car. so we bought new ones and for both of these parts, it was only fifty dollars.

Peter Do you think we could actually fix this problem for only fifty dollars? I Mean the guy put like fifty thousand dollars into the car? Yeah, yeah, yeah, why not, Right box? Yeah, let's say yes. I'm gonna say yes. All right guys, let's get this master cylinder replaced. I Have to get this out of the way.

The reservoir all right There she is. looks like a couple bolts. Looks like we have one of the bolts from the outside. Okay, that's a nut that just fell down there.

Sweet. All right. Then we got one from the inside. I Got that one fell on our diamond plate floor.

Our danger to manifold floor. It is a danger to manifold floor. Yes, it is all right. So right now we are taking the shaft off of the Yoke here and that's going to come out with the master.

All right, there we go. That is free. Good thing I Did my yoga stretches this morning. Feeling good? All right.

So we disconnected this line here. Master is coming out. Please remove your saw there. We go.

there. we go. She gone. That's that's original Crusties.

Isn't it that looks like original Crusties? Yeah, and for 28 bucks, Who really cares? No. Namco Oh maybe yeah. original. Japan right.

it's a Japanese car. When I revealed my Eclipse everybody's like that's an American car. I'm like oh, I get it, it's built in Normal Illinois but it's built with stuff that says Japan and nabco on it Mitsubishi Mitsubishi All right, new one is going in reverse order. Pretty easy job.

I Think it'll probably take us about a half hour to do this. about another 10 minutes to do the slave. So yeah, all right. cool, that's in.

okay with that. I'll reconnect everything else from underneath the dash where it's very difficult to work let alone film. All right guys. Master cylinder is installed.

the slave cylinder. It is very easy to get to right here. A couple of bolts and she's loose. You can see the rod here that comes out and hits our Fork so we can actually disconnect the line here.

It's hard to get to unless you unbolt it. Oh gosh, Oh, does that work s Yay! Yeah, yeah, okay, yay. This is definitely the way it's supposed to happen. Oh, that fluid is bad.
Yeah, it's dirty. Let's get it out. All right. that's it.

For less than five minutes worth of work, we got it out there. we go. Yeah, she's nasty, she's dark, all right. We got the new one in tightening up the line good and tight and then we just gotta.

Yep, that's lined up. time for some Amsoil brake fluid. That's all this stuff is is brake fluid for your clutch master. So we'll fill this up and then we'll get underneath there and Bleed It Out All right? So now we're just going to bleed this like breaks.

All right? Peter I Opened it up all right and then close all right open. Oh there's that fluid. It's coming all right. I'm closed.

All right. With these two parts replaced, we've given the Talon the gift of a new clutch hydraulic system which reminds me of an awesome gift. I Just got my wife this is the Bear from Forreo, a very well-known Swedish Beauty Tech brand. And let me tell you, if you guys need a great gift idea for your lady, this is it.

The Bear uses micro currents and practically gives your face a mini facelift right from home. and if you guys need a gift for any lady in your life, your wife, your girlfriend, it could even be your mom. Definitely check this out and and honestly you guys are you're gonna like it for yourself as well. So with that, let's go see if our clutch system works. That would be nice.

All right. So everything is bled out and before this thing was flapping around, let's see. Oh that feels so good. it feels like a proper clutch hydraulic system.

Now now you can be double clutching like you should. It could be double clutch and Granny shifting. Let's see though, if it'll actually disengage, the clutch fires right up. And yeah, we can hear that noise so we already know it's working.

Oh yeah, yeah. there you go easily. All right. Hold on.

let's see. Well she's going to like butter. All right. Sweet.

I Need a laptop? Shut up? There we go. It works. Second gear. All right.
We are good. All right with the clutch system working. Let me show you guys what's going on in the rear suspension. It's it's loud.

All right guys. listen to this. Ah, okay, it sounds worse going up. But as you could imagine when we're driving down the road and it's going up and down, there are a lot of creaky noise going on here.

Oh oh, it's very crunchy, All right. So Peter and I both agree that the noise is coming from the upper control arm and we have these brackets right here that are definitely aftermarket. So I believe this is to make alignment adjustments, but we're going to take it apart in case they didn't tighten this properly and the bushing itself could be making the noise. It all starts off with removing some Wheels Oh and lots of comments on these dual valve stems.

I Had never seen these before and there were many ideas of what they're for. Some of you guys said they're for balance so not to throw off the balance of the wheels so you got two of them. Others said it's so you can fill the tire up and check pressure at the same time and then others said it was to get nitrogen into the tire so you could push all the air out and just put nitrogen in. so I guess the purpose for these is maybe a combination of all of those and I don't know.

Probably totally unnecessary as well. but then again, welcome to the world of cars Or many of the things that people do. Their cars? Totally totally unnecessary. Can we take a second? Just admire how unnecessary but the attention to detail for the painted calipers.

Oh yeah, the painted rotors, the lug nuts, and the valve stems they were. They weren't messing around. I mean this guy loved this car. Let's see how lightweight these wheels are.

Oh yeah, they are late. They're very light. they're made in Japan and oh what is this sticker? It's it says something about Toyota on here. oh that is I Don't understand that at all.

It's definitely not a Toyota wheel. it's a Jose and it is made in Japan. Um, all right. and they're like brand new too.

like there's they just were bolted on. This is crazy. So the wheel mystery continues. What's the deal with that same Toyota in there were these made by Toyota Or maybe it's a Toyota's fitment like this.

Yeah, it's for a Toyota car I Don't know. Maybe this guy really wanted a Supra and he'd already bought the wheels for it and then figured out they fit on this. All right. We're gonna start by loosening this up really wasn't that tight and then we're going to loosen up this side as well.

I Just want to see if the noise goes away if you loosen these up. These were upper control arms. Have seen better days but the bushings look brand new. All right.

At this point we're gonna bounce the rear end and see what she sounds like. how pretty this paint color is. God They did such a good job. This was a black car originally.
All right. Let's see what she sounds like. It's just as bad. Is it worse? I Think it might be worse.

Peter We we did absolutely nothing. All right. So this has never happened for either Peter or myself. We've we've never actually been wrong about anything.

Ever. No, not even once. This is the first time we've ever been wrong, so a little disappointing. I'm not gonna lie, but after 38 years, you know, gotta hit it once, right? That's right, All right.

So now we're supposed to put that out of the way with that disclaimer out of the way. Uh, we do think it is coming from here. We have gotten a little bit smarter since the last scene and devised this, so check this out right now we have the suspension compressed so if I lower it. oh yeah, it definitely sounds like it's coming from there.

Dr Peter I Concur yeah I Think we have a bushing that's binding up in here and sometimes this could just be because they tightened it wrong. Basically, if you tighten these up in the relaxed position that it's in right now and then you lower it, the bushing will twist and it can make a lot of noise. So we'll continue on by loosening this guy up. All right guys, let's loosen this up.

Oh yeah, well. whoever put it on definitely tightened it, that's for sure. All right, we're gonna do this a smart way. A little penetrating oil there we go.

might as well pre-soak this with our crew oil as well. There we go. we've had an ice cream flavor of like the tasted The way that cream oil smells. so good I would absolutely get it.

Yeah I'm tempted to eat this at all times, but you can't do that. It's bad. when the whole thing's turning, that's much easier that's for sure. but it's not coming looser.

It's just yeah. I Think it's it's got to be spinning spinning. Yeah, um, it's about to hit the wall though to stop against it's getting loose. Let's Get Loose we're doing it I Thought we're gonna need fire and all sorts of stuff.

I'm gonna say the crew oil is good. It's really good. You just get it on. Amazon I'll leave you guys a link down below.

but it it's awesome. Oh man, no problem. Like butter. Look at that.

All right. We're pumping this guy back up. Oh, it's already much better. This is just mirrors.

like did the wheel travel more now that it wasn't binding. Yeah, you're right. We we were never able to get it to look like that. Yeah, ah, it's totally fixed.

It's just a little bit of noise from there. I Mean that's normal there. The bushings have to make some kind of noise. but no more crazy knocking.

That's awesome. That's awesome. Let's do it again. Yeah, that's perfect.

All right. So right now we're gonna compress this back and then we will tighten it up in its compressed. State We're tightening this up right at its normal ride height. so then the bushing is in its natural state when the car is just sitting on the ground.
so there's no alignment adjustment for this so we can just go ahead and tighten it up actually. I Think a better idea is to just go ahead and set this right around its normal ride height. loosen up all of the bottom bushing bolts, and then we'll tighten them all up so we know all the bushings aren't. Twisted All right, with the rear suspension sounding normal again, we're going to move on to a flashing check engine light and let me show you what that looks like.

That's what it looks like. a check engine light that is flashing. Oh, now it's gone. It's intermittent.

There we go, she's back. So on a normal car, flashing check engine light means a catalyst damaging misfire. So basically a misfire. That's so bad that it's dumping raw fuel into the exhaust and destroying the catalytic converter.

But the thing is I Do not think this car is running that bad I Don't think it's misfiring. but some of you guys did comment in the last video that because we found the receipt for an autonics ECU like a standalone ECU system. Uh, that they could have programmed this flashing check engine light to mean whatever. so it could mean engine knock and many other different things that the ECU can read.

So right now we got to figure out what ECU we actually have in the car. So here is the stock computer. You can see the Mitsubishi logo in the center. Uh, so kind of a bummer.

since we had the receipt for that really expensive aftermarket computer, they might have demotted it or something. I'm not really sure but I don't think this is 100 stock. It's got a bunch of writing and it's got a Serial cable attached to it and also I don't know what's going on here. so let's at the very least take this guy apart and see what we find.

All right, let's unplug some harness. There we go, and what in the world is this? This is? This is. Yeah, this is a this is a boost reference right to the engine's computer. What? That is.

Kind of cool. All right. So this thing is missing all of its screws, but one so definitely been tampered with. Let's see what do we have? What is going on in here? Oh hey dude.

this is. this is the uh, what is that called Atronic? Yeah. Electronic Atronic. Oh so it's housed in the factory ECU Or it's added onto the factory EC That's sneaky? No way.

Oh, that's super cool. We do have the super expensive computer I Mean I Have no idea if this is any good? I'm just basing its awesomeness on its price. Back in the day, it was a lot of money. All right, sweet.

So we gotta look a little bit more into this. This is funny. This is how we're supposed to hook this up to our laptop. I guess Uh yeah.

okay. and then it's got the boost sensor going right to it. which I It's a whole yeah. It says electronic.

Yeah. so the boat, the whole board. Yeah oh, that's super cool. So it's literally just housed in the factory box.
That's like sleeper status. What do you call that stealth? Ah, oh yeah. Dodge Stealth Oh look at that. 3000 GT I Don't even notice what it said on there.

We live in a crazy world, people. We have the Atronics. ECU Let me know in the comments if you know anything about this and whether it's a it's a good thing or a bad thing, how does it compare to what is a DSM link? How does it compare to DSM link I I Don't know. We're getting DSM link on my Eclipse um Everybody Rants and Raves I've heard so many good things about it.

So I have to send the computer in for my Eclipse and they're going to work their little voodoo magic inside of the stock computer and then I'll be able to tune it from there. So I'm really excited for that. But yeah, any info on this would be awesome. All right.

I've reinstalled the Ultronics ECU and we've emailed the company. They've emailed us back so we're in the process of getting a little bit more information on the flashing check engine light, so I'll have that later on in the video. But for now, we need to fix a fuel hose. so let's pop this cover up again.

Thank you! All right! So if you notice, we have a temporary fuel hose right here because the Dash 6an fitting had just come off, it wasn't installed properly so we have to get a new line. All right, we'll pop this off and then we have to remove our Ford Lightning fuel filter that we added. There we go DSM Guys, let me know. did they weld this fitting on or is this Factory like I know this tube part here? this is Factory but did they weld this onto here I Don't know.

So here is our fuel filter that we added in the last video just to make sure we caught anything that we might have missed in the tank. Okay, there we go. Look at that E85 just melting away our Motorcraft logo. it's a no-name now look at that.

Gone all right. So we measured up the hose that we need. We have a place down the street that's going to make it for us right now. So in the meantime we are going to swap out this fuel filter.

All right? So let's get this guy out of here and I'll show you guys the new fuel filter we're going to go with and here she is. look at this gigantic, beautiful fuel filter we're going with. Uh, so we're gonna get a lot more filtration for our Talon but I think we did a pretty good job at cleaning out the gas tank because we're not getting anything. and if you guys remember in the last video how nasty the goo was inside of here, it was pretty bad.

so this looks perfectly clean. I think our Ford fuel filter probably did a good job as well and now we're We're going with this guy. So this is uh, kind of universal here. So they give you a bunch of fittings and what's crazy is this guy was only 28 bucks or something like that on.

Amazon I'll leave you a link down below. Lots of good reviews and just a little replaceable internal filter on this was 35 and it was like a week out or something like that. so we will switch it up. just getting these fittings like we're gonna have a bunch of extra fittings with O-rings This is a fantastic deal.
Looks like we need these guys here. These are the dash six so we'll go ahead and throw an o-ring on here and throw a little bit of Lube on there as well. Screw it on there we go. All right, let's tighten up this fitting and I said as well.

Okay, all right, she's ready to go in. All right. I Want to see what's inside of this thing too? Oh look at that! Wow. That's a big element that's like three times as big as the element that we're replacing so we'll have the most filtered E85 in the world.

All right guys! So we have made our own little fancy fuel filter bracket. This is the one that they welded to the floor and we're going to kind of utilize that, pull this guy through and then we just have some cut up fuel hose we're going to use for an isolator. I Got two on that side and two on this side. All right now.

I'll connect this guy to here and this guy to here. and it does fit into the brackets for the other fuel filter. it's just it's not that secure but it'll kind of hold it there. and then we have our clamp.

I'm gonna tighten this guy up all right. That looks pretty good. We are fully isolated. This thing is mounted solid.

Let's tighten these lines up and we are good with the fuel filter. All right. Tight, tight like a tiger and tight. There we go.

All right. Peter Is feeding me our new hose. Look at how nice this is. I Really like this over the steel braided and it kind of matches the car.

black and red and we're going to go ahead and take this. Teflon Tape off. This is not the kind of fitting that seals because of the threads. This is a metal to metal seal.

You can see that taper inside of there. so no Teflon tape needed. All right. Line is on, a little tighten, not too much.

that should be good. All right there we go. That's done. Let's connect it downstairs all right and I'll just tighten it up here.

All right there we go. She done. Yeah dude that looks so good in the future I am using this as opposed to this on all my Builds on the turbo. Trans Am I'm going to redo the fuel system because I'm going to go E85 So I need like bigger everything and yeah sad to say little still braided lines but but your days are numbered here.

All right guys. With the fuel lines all done, we have to fix something that many of you guys saw in the last video. We saw it too and I didn't realize this is just straight up loose, but it is. This is the Wastegate dump tube.

So this is exhaust that comes out of this and it was dumping directly onto our cold piping. and you want the air inside of this intercooler pipe to be cold, not hot. So this would essentially be heating it up every time the wastegate opened. But anyway, uh, this is loose and I'd imagine that whoever designed this kit built this car wanted this tube to be right around there.
Yeah, I'd say like right there. That way the exhaust is just dumping straight out and not that it's going to make a big difference. I think I'm going to wrap this intercooler pipe as well just to insulate it from any heat that might be coming from this pipe. But first things first, let's tighten that right there.

All right. So all we have to do is literally just tighten this guy up. like so these are really good quality V-bands that they used. They just needed to tighten it.

There we go should be good. We gotta figure out the fuel pressure situation. It was at 80 when we started it and I don't know if that's right. Yeah, hi, uh, my name is Alex and I have some 1600 CC fuel injectors from you guys Uh, running E85 on a 4g63t engine? uh in an eclipse? Can you tell me what the base fuel pressure should be with those injectors? Uh, 43 and a half PSI Okay, cool.

Well thank you so much I appreciate it from Thanks. That's what I figured I mean that's kind of the standard with fuel injectors. this 43 and a half is your base. This one was at 80 when we first started it, so that does not I've never heard of that before.

That sounds a little crazy to me. So I think what we'll do is we'll set it back to what it's supposed to be at. and we do have a wide Bend in the car so we can take it out and kind of just see see how it acts up and it would be nice to read in. Lambda Okay so right now I'm removing the Am wideband gauge because I want to set this to Lambda So this is kind of a confusing subject, but all O2 sensors read in what's called Lambda Lambda 1 is equivalent to 14.7 to 1 air fuel ratio with 100 gasoline.

So stoichiometric, That's what it idles at. That's what it cruises on the highway at. That is the most efficient air fuel ratio. Now that doesn't mean that's what you need at wide open throttle on a hundred percent gasoline you'd want somewhere in the 11.5 air fuel ratio range.

so you want to have it be richer than stoichiometric to be safe and make the most power. Now there's a lot of confusion here because most of our fuel now is E10 so it has 10 percent ethanol. These gauges are calibrated to translate that Lambda reading to an AFR number because that's what we're used to here, at least in the United States. So when you're using a blend of gasoline and ethanol like E85 all of this gets thrown out the window.

so you'd have to do a conversion which would bring you down to about 7.5 would be the reading. The AFR reading that you would want at wide open throttle roughly on E85 I could talk forever about this subject. I Know a lot about it because I tuned my Trans Am and I switched over to Lambda. but at the end of the day, reading in Lambda is much easier because one Lambda equals Tokyometric on any blend of fuel.
That's what the sensor is reading at its base. So we're just going to set this gauge up to read Lambda and again, from my experience on the Trans Am right at 11.5 air fuel on gasoline, you're looking at a 0.78 Lambda. So we're just going to set our minds right now to Lambda. And what's nice is on the back of the AEM gauge is a little hole and I had to whittle down a pocket screwdriver because the little slot to turn this is Tiny Um, but we should just need to go one counterclockwise back.

That should set us to Lambda and we'll know right away when we plug this in. Now on the Trans Am I have a totally different face plate that says Lambda and then all these numbers are different as well, but we don't care. it's a digital readout as long as that reads Lambda we should be good. Drink every time I say Lambda Lambda Lambda Lambda All right, let's see.

we got here p001 Lambda One we did it. Peter We are officially team Lambda So normally that would have read 14.7 with key on, but now we're at one. Cool. All right.

So we got some information from Atronic. Uh, and basically the reason the check engine light is flashing is because it's showing us trouble codes. It's like going back in time into OBD1 land where you could jump two pins on a connector and your check engine light would flash and you would interpret that as an error code. This one just does it automatically every time you start the car.

So we definitely have some error codes. It could be nothing though. So we have a whole list and we have even more of a list here on the computer so we just have to count some flashes. All right, let's see what current codes are by starting it up.

Okay, so that's four flashes, two, three. Okay, so we have four, three, one, two three. Well, this thing is running rich. Look at that.

That's like wide open throttle Lambda right there. Let's see if I give it some throttle. That's why I'm very rich. We don't have much vacuum either.

anyway. Let's uh, let's interpret some more codes here. Four: Okay, are we gonna get the three again? Let's see one, two, three. Okay, so we got that four three code again.

we'll have to look at the chart for that one. All right. I Think the car is trying to tell us something. It's got code 43 or code 4-3 or something like that.

It seems like that's the only code though. it keeps on repeating. Um, let's see what that is. Let's see, it's the danger to manifold.

Maybe All right. Sorry. I mean how many times can we do that? It's just too much fun. We're gonna have to do that on the drive too, right? Yeah, yeah.

Okay, Okay, so the fourth three code is sync loss and we think this has to do with the cam angle sensor which is right here. so similar to a distributor, this can be turned. You can see here that there are slots on both sides and you can adjust this. So right now we have a 1960s Sears Penske timing light.
It's very, very old, but it still flashes and does stuff some fantastic conditions. It is in great condition. Uh, we're going to see what the what? the base timing is. All right guys.

You can see Btdc before top dead center and then there's a 10 right below that. And if you look at the red pulleys right at the top, there is a white line. That's our timing mark. So we are Way right now as far as ignition timing goes.

So we want to be at about five degrees before it's half dead center. All right. So before we go ahead and set the timing I Want to set our fuel pressure down so we're gonna pop our vacuum Source off and we're gonna bring this down. It wasn't too far off.

Uh, we want to set this at about 43. vacuum line off. So right around there. all right and now we can go back together with our vacuum.

Source That'll bring it down a little bit, but that's good. Tighten that up. Oh whoa. Okay, that's the that's the coolant reservoir.

Yeah, Do we have a temperature gauge? Oh yeah, we were. Yes, we were very hot. Oh you know what? Dude, the fan has never come on. I Don't remember the fan ever coming on? Yeah, Me neither.

Okay, so we have a fan issue. We're just trying to set your timing and fuel pressure. Talon What's going on? Okay, yeah. all right.

So we started overheating a little bit there. Oh yeah, yeah, you can see. Oh, look at that. Wow, it's been really okay.

So this pressure cap just blows out. Yeah, wow, it's just fun to that is not very streetcar. No yeah, not at all. So the cap has a PSI rating and it's meant to just blow up.

Like literally in your face. Yeah, that was like right next to your head. Yeah, like like it's dripping. Oh wow.

Okay I Always wear safety stuff guys. That's fun. Um, all right. a little detour here.

We got to figure out how to make this fan work so we can run the engine at idle. This is such a tiny fan! I Couldn't imagine this thing could sit in idle when it's hot outside. Well, there's no way. Okay, it's going to this harness though.

Okay, so we found that this is the fan relay. we pulled this lead off of here. We're going to do a quick check to see if maybe the relay is bad, so if we stick power to it, it should work. Yay! it's working.

Oh, that feels nice. It's cold in the shop so this is warming up my hand right now. All right. Cool.

Um, so we probably just have a bad relay. All right. So we fixed the C4 Corvette with a Toyota relay from the old Camry What do we got? Oh another Toyota relay? Yeah. added reliability.

That's right. How do you make your DSM more reliable? Add to it apart or any car? Just just add some Toyota parts. That's all you need. All right.
We've installed the Toyota relay Peter ignition. Yay! We fixed it so we have a polar fan. We have a pusher fan. Okay, cool.

I Was gonna say like this doesn't seem like enough fan for this, but there are two of them I almost just burned myself there. Uh, one of them's just a pusher because it would have gotten in the way of the headers fans to help out with that. So hopefully we don't have Old Faithful here acting up any longer. This Idol is super high too, so we're just gonna turn that down a little bit.

That sounds much better. it's at 1100. let's tune it down a little more. Uh, that's about eight, Eight, Nine hundred? That's a thousand.

Let's just leave it there. for now. we're still running pretty rich right now, but let's mess with the timing first. I All right.

So we're gonna loosen up our cam angle sensor. I'm gonna give it a little bit of throttle so Peter can get a clean look. Yeah, we're like three three. I'm gonna temporarily just bump that Idol back up there we go and then I'm just gonna turn this guy a little bit.

Oh, that's Zero Zero. Okay, cool. and between five and eight is the spec. so just give it a little bit more.

where am I we're at 10 right now. It made it much worse. Okay, let's back this down a little. There we go.

That's Five. Okay, seems to be running pretty good. All right. I'm gonna lock it in.

After making the fuel pressure adjustment and the timing, we're almost at one. Lambda So that's good. Yeah, it looks like our check engine light's done flashing. It's been off for a while now.

Oh never mind, it's back. Uh, what's going on with the oil pressure? It's like dipping and when you let the idle go down, it drops to nothing. but wait. when you wrap it up it's fine.

Okay, that looks okay. I went to zero for sure. So we get given it. okay.

20. That's fine. Yeah, it was with RPM I Mean we let it idle with like a high idle? Yeah, yeah, you know what I'm saying. but like man, even at like a thousand RPM it had no oil pressure.

It was dropping and then doing a little warning flash. Obviously that could be a gauge sending unit issue, but or this bad. Yeah, or the motor's bad is a fresh build so it's like it has no. it has really no test miles.

So we're back to the initial thing where we're like, this could either be really awesome if we get the motor, the motor's good or it could be really bad if it's not. Yeah, we're supposed to have been done with that. Yeah, we got this thing to run and run well and have oil pressure and be everything we wanted it to be and now it has no oil pressure. The only thing I could think of Peter is that it did start to run really rich again.

We got it to be right at that one. Lambda After doing the fuel pressure adjustment and setting the timing and everything like that. so all that's good and then it was just going back to like 0.75 or whatever which is like 11 and a half to one for gasoline people out there. Well, let's just check the oil.
I'm like I don't even know what to do right now I'm like the basics here has checked the oil. I'm like this is horrible. Um, we should be driving this car by now. Peter we should be doing all-wheel drive ramps.

Yeah, it's still brand new oil. It looks totally fine. We're supposed to be living my childhood dreams not my childhood night I was supposed to drive. Oh yeah, you haven't gotten I want to drive this car? All right? Let's um, let's drain the oil and since it was running rich, maybe E85 got into the crankcase and thinned it out and that's why that's a thing, right? Peter Yeah, I could be okay.

All right. normal oil. hopefully. no chunks of anything.

please. No chunks please, no chunks. It's pretty thin. It might be diluted down with the 85.

that's right, that's what I was thinking too I smelled it and it did smell pretty sweet. Yeah, which is what E85 smells like, you know, so that could be it. All right? We'll swap out this filter as well Mitsubishi filter. Nice considering the build sheets and looking at the mileage.

this could be one of the very first oil changes I'm assuming they did a break-in one with the new engine. maybe another one. but I think this is like the first kind of real oil change due to time. All right.

So with the car, we got a new genuine Mitsubishi oil filter. Look at that. I kind of don't want to use this because it's so nice in Factory but then I also do oh, it's pre-lubricated and everything. Wow.

Mitsubishi This is really nice. This is currently my favorite oil filter on the channel. I mean it's pre-lubricated They didn't have to do that like we're I'm spoiled now. Are we just gonna buy Mitsubishi oil filters for everything? They fit on everything.

Sure, All right. Well, we're filling this up with Amsoil synthetic. That's what I use on all my cars and I'm hoping we didn't just waste a bunch of brand new oil. Which is possible.

Is it normal? Is that always like that? What? What are you doing to me here? Peter I Don't know. Oh, you got it. That's like hitting. That's like totally off the that's not how it was this.

The tension on this was perfect. Yeah, yeah, because we looked at this. remember we said it's still got the original Factory markings on it. Peter This thing was just running great.

It's like we set the timing and everything. What? deconstructing itself? Dude, we already just had low. Everything's new too. Yeah, you know this is really loose dude.

I Don't think it's loose enough to have skipped timing. but uh, we can't run this engine. We can't even see if it's got oil pressure. Now with the new oil change.

Oh yeah, we can't even start it. No, because God forbid this just started loosening it up and then we run it and it skips and then we scroll. This is probably interference. Yeah, and it's got bigger cams.
Yeah, let me roach them up. And then we really destroyed the motor. You got to be kidding me. Dude.

I don't even know what to say right now. It's still hot that is. Dude, This is insane. We're gonna have to look back at the footage we'd like.

literally just filmed I did not. You were over here with the timing light. You would have seen this. Yeah.

flopping around. It must have just happened. What in the world is going on? Okay, um, all right. well.

I I Always I Always plan for hiccups, especially on a very unknown vehicle. How big of a hiccup is? Like a totally bad motor though? This has been a roller coaster of the last couple days. Yeah, we fixed the clutch system for like 50 bucks we have Mount Aetna over here blowing up in my face and uh and now this. So at this point guys, uh we cannot run the engine.

we are going to get back to the drawing board I wanted some rips I don't even care about that anymore I just don't want this to be a bad engine because this is probably like like a ten thousand dollar engine. It wasn't making any noise though. Yeah, so like and we caught. we had to have caught it right away.

Yeah I mean it was still running right, it was still running. and the good thing is is that when we gave it RPM uh the oil pressure came right back up and most of the time we were giving it RPM because it would die otherwise. Yeah right. So I think we're gonna be okay.

like it. maybe it's got a bad oil pump or something, but like I think if there was a time that someone caught something right before something bad happened, this would be that time. Of all the worst case scenarios, yeah, this is the best. All right.

Um, this is not how I wanted this to go guys. obviously we're excited to drive this car and actually rip it. We got the things that the Lambda so we can actually see what's going on. um but stay tuned for the next Talent video so where we'll have an answer.

either the engine is toast or we have fixed it. Hopefully the thumbnail of that video is like an all-wheel drive burnout with this thing just screaming. So anyway with that I Hope you guys enjoyed this video I Can't say I Enjoyed the end part here. Uh and uh.

you know, Thumbs up! Share Subscribe! See you in the next one pretending to drive? Dude I almost had you. You almost did. Peter he never left the car. He's still in there pretending that it runs and drives all right.

Does that make sense? No, that doesn't make sense. Or Nevada car in the desert with 250 000 miles for more money than this I have the 69 right here I need a rat's name Peter I'm such a disappointment to Alex I Always get the wrong tools and he calls me an idiot under his bro. Okay when Alex can't get a bolt loose I Don't try to do it after him because I can't let him know that he's super weak. Don't listen to what he's saying.
one maybe even one thing la la la foreign.

Guess you guys didn't notice how some of the bolts were not properly tightened when you messed with them did y'all? I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure I remember you saying something about certain bolts being not tight.
